I’m sad to say that I left the club yesterday to join Enfield, who are in the Ryman North. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at the club and the supporters who have backed me. GB and GC have been great, especially helping me find first team football. Without their help I’m not sure this would have been possible! I’ve learnt a lot from George this season, which I hope will stand me in good steed in years to come.

 

Also thanks to Carl and Jenny for their encouragement and constant smiles whatever the result! John Lawrence, Paul Sutton, Max and the lads for the banter. I’m sure Conference football will soon be coming to the Urchins, not only because the club are moving in the right direction, but because everyone involved in the club deserves it. I’ve had a great time at the club, which saw me make my first team debut at the tender age of 16. My most memorable game for the Urchins has to be when we secured promotion last season against Berkhamsted, Gav’s volley and Jonesy running around like a 16 year old with the biggest smile in football. I’m sure there will be many more day’s like that one to come for the Urchins, especially if this season’s FA Cup run is anything to go by.

Over the past couple of seasons we've been graced by some top quality keepers it must be said. Our goals conceded record speaks volumes for the quality of the men between the sticks, Woodsey, Kharine, Mike Collier and now Danny Gay, all have been top notch keepers during their time at the Chins. Well done Mike, all the best fella.

Mike sorry to see you go.I can remember your debut for Hornchurch against Harlow.My how things have changed, and progressed since.I do wish you well at Enfield but i must say looking at thier recent history and most recent results i do hope it is not a wrong move for you.The best of luck and never forget how good a keeper you are!
