It's 'criminal' when two SSML Club's are drawn together isn't it:

I wonder whether GRS67 will make a cameo appearance over the weekend:

Note the early kick off time of 2.00pm as Full Time has it as 3.00pm, it's poor isn't it:

This could well be a banana skin for Dunstable Town couldn't it:

Broadfields United are on a roll at the moment aren't they but surely won't repeat their 7-0 drubbing of Holyport in the Second Qualifying Round of the competition in 2017/18:

That must have been a nail biter however Crawley Green should have won in ninety minutes with Egham Town equalising deep into injury time:

A terrible result for Leverstock Green and Fergus Moore who have exited both the FA Cup and FA Vase at the first hurdle this season however the Club are still first with their match report:

Jets woes look set to continue, 3 down at half time and should be 5 really, albeit we should have had 1.

On the plus side it's a beautiful afternoon ?

Have players followed the manager out of the door? The result after he left v Kingstonian was brilliant.

Yes and it really was astonishing in the circumstances, Lewis Putnam was like Beckham was for England in that World Cup qualifier against Greece all those years ago, absolutely immense. I've heard anything from 7 to 15 followed Stuart Atkins through the exit, certainly many haven't featured since the fateful game with Arlesey and two who have found new clubs are Louis Bircham (Harefield) and Reece Cameron (Colney Heath). So it's not an ideal situation.

Hackney Wick 1 New Salamis 4

A groundhopper from another Forum was in attendance:

Hackney Wick 1-4 New Salamis (HT: 1-3)
FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round

Eastern Counties League Division One South (step 6) v Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division (step 5)
Kick Off: 15.03
Admission: £6
Programme: Online only
Attendance: 59 h/c
@ Witham Town FC
Both were mid table sides in their respective divisions.
My first time of seeing New Salamis, who groundshare at Haringey Borough, and appear to represent the British Cypriot community according to Wiki.
Hackney scored after just 4 mins but Salamis soon equalised.
Salamis scored twice in the space of a few minutes shortly before half time, one from the penalty spot.
The visitors made it safe with their fourth on 73.
Myself and another of the Witham faithful, who have taken Hackney under our wing, joined the lone ‘Wicker Man’ for the first half in making a bit of noise behind the goal.
Full marks to him for getting behind The Wick all game right up until, and beyond, the final whistle.

The Buildbase FA Vase First Round Qualifying
Irchester United 1 Hillingdon Borough 5

A groundhopper from another Forum was in attendance:

FA Vase 1st Qualifying Round
Irchester United 1-5 Hillingdon Borough

Admission - £5
Attendance - 67
Venue: Alfred Street - Tucked away down a tight residential cul-de-sac in the small Northamptonshire town of Irchester. This is another club sharing land with a cricket club. Only one stand which is behind the near goal. The other goal is accessible hard standing half way, and one touchline is hard standing with the other touchline being the cricket pitch so out of bounds.
Game - Irchester have played 7, won 1 and lost 6, many by drubbings since moving to the Spartans South Midlands League with today’s result, on paper at least, adding to that list. The home side started off better and we’re hit on the break by Hillingdon before a 2nd was quickly scored. Irchester managed to get back into the game but couldn’t muster any serious chances. Not long into the 2nd half saw Irchester pulled one back. This was shortly followed by a sending off for Hillingdon when their centre half attacked a corner by barging in and superman punching the Irchester keeper who’s nose was visibly broken. This somehow spurred Hillingdon on who went on to score 3 further goals.

What a bloody shame. I’m sorry to hear that, I’ve seen that happen many times. I’m sure the club will bounce back.
