What an attractive FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw !

While we were beating Dereham Town On Saturday, Hadley were drawing 1-1 at home to Enfield 1893. The replay is on Wednesday evening at Bishop Stortford's ground KO 7.45pm.

Think I can guess who most of our supporters would love to play, but think we best to leave comments until we know the outcome of the replay

This is one game we need to play at 200% if it is homeless 1893 could be a banana skin

home tie to Hadley or 1893 homeless

I think you'll find the 1893 bit has been chopped of the name.  It seems they beat you to it before you chopped Townies off yours  ?

Surely a prime tie to be shown on BBC iplayer as the tie of the round ...

the 2 clubs to have risen from the defunct Enfield and the history there

1st supporters owned club - all inclusive nature

20th anniversary

WWE tie in

I dont know the finance implications - would it be more lucrative getting TV coverage later in the competition (which of course is tempting fate) or is it worth supportrs emailing the BBC about the story after the result tonight? A financial boost could be crucial in a promotion push ..

Lets not jump the gun and see whether EFC can actually get through! Would be interesting to see whether 46yo Jamie Cureton gave himself a run-out against Town.

I doubt it would have been a record crowd. Enfield (1893) FC don't play in Enfield, so I'm not sure how many fans they have (or would have brought). No complaints with being drawn at home to a Step 5 team though, long may that continue. Good luck to the Towners against Hadley!

Form Guide

After knocking exiled Enfield FC out of the FA Cup with an extra time winner in Tuesday's replay, Hadley continued their winning ways yesterday when they beat second bottom Baldock Town 3-1 at home in the League

Hadley are now 5th in the Table, with games in hand on all the teams above them. Before coming to us next Saturday, they play London Colney at home in the League.

They have started the season well, and will come to us in confident mood. We need to make sure we are up for it !

To be fair they haven't started the season any better than we have. And we play in a higher league AND are at home. Will be very disappointed if we don't win the tie

It’ll be Hadleys Cup Final, we’ve just got to match their enthusiasm and energy , our ‘superior ‘ ability should see us through
