Let’s be honest if we get a draw we’ve done well! Be interesting to see how Dan performs against us, just hope we stop him from scoring as he’s in decent form.

Let's be honest, Bakes and Unders teams do do well although away to Steve King's heavily invested in team will be a really tough one!

Multiple posts on the Dartford forum praising Northy not only for his excellent performance which they say saved us from a much worse defeat but also for his ability to absorb the banter that's always aimed at keepers  Also very happy to chat post match  They all make him our MOM

Can't disagree with that.

Arguably Northy has been our motm in both games so far.

I'm probably showing my footballing ignorance asking this question.

We have a great corner kick routine which I've seen work several times, as it did again on Saturday,(when the score was 0-0 )

I won't go into details in case any spies from other clubs are reading my post (Ha- Ha ! ) but it involves Nis getting on the end of it.

Sorry Nis, but I find it hard to see you as a modern day Marco van Basten.

Beckenbauer perhaps, but not van Basten.

Why do we have a centre back and not a centre forward like Tom getting on to the end of it ?

Surely a strapping attacking centre back is watched as closely by the defenders at a corner as a centre forward would be ,so eluding defenders can't be the reason can it ?

And surely Tom would be better equipped to get a shot on target ?

And if a forward would find it too difficult to evade their marker how about having Scotty Davies or Josh having a punt, as they seem to me to be both clean strikers of a ball?

It's just something that's gone through my mind every time I see the routine "almost"  succeed.

I'll get my coat.

This is only my guess HR but I think the idea behind the move is for Nis to peel off to the back post and use his head to score or head the ball back across goal.

Is a good observation, and one discussed, numerous players have done it and not just Nis, however it is also very much down to movement from player.

We actually don’t prescribe that person who does it, they know what we do, and leave to players on the pitch, but a very good observation ?

I would say 40/50 rebels supporters at the game.

Lowish away support probably partly down to reported traffic problems around the area + I think some supporters might have gone down with covid.

Having said that the supporters coach was only half full and only 1/2 hour extra due to traffic to get to the game.
