Thought I would put Saturday's games up early to allow plenty of time for discussion especially as, 'criminally', Karen didn't bother to arrange one League fixture during this midweek. The game of the day is arguably at the Kingsway Recreation Ground:

Do we know why the game was transferred to the outside pitch as on Thursday it was still at the stadium:

Berkhamsted Raiders Senior team are playing this Saturday 3pm at Orbital Stadium in Kings Langley. Come on down and support the team in their second game of the season following an impressive win last week.

DIVISION TWO

1-4 The 61FC (Luton) v Eynesbury United Attendance: 21

A report on this one from Eynesbury United:

Spartan South Midlands Division 2
The 61FC (1) 1 Eynesbury Utd (1) 4
Bassett 2, Fox, Baxter
Att: 21
United came away from Luton with three hard earned points after a 4-1 win over 61FC.
Though, the score does not truly reflect the competitiveness of the contest and only two late goals made the score line look a lot easier than it was. The game started with 61FC on the front foot and United struggled to get a foothold, and on 8 minutes the home side took a deserved lead. The Bulls knew they had to step up and slowly they did just that. Man of the match Shane Fox, Aidan McLean and Sammy Routs started to boss the midfield and the chances, though few started to come. The first fell to Bassett whose close range volley was brilliantly saved by the home keeper. The next fell to Spavins at the far post but his header went over the bar. United continued to press and finally on 38 minutes a great ball into the box from Owen Dixon found Baxter who rose high to head home the leveller.
Just before half time United could have taken the lead when a great corner from Sole was met by Spavins from close range but his effort sailed wide.
Concern for United at half time as the workman like McLean was struggling with an ankle injury and was replaced by Kyle Morris early in the second half. And it was Morris whose through ball found Bassett but his ball back across the box was cleared by the defence. Both sides were going for the next vital goal and finally on 68 minutes a great ball from Scotney found Fox whose deft touch inside found Bassett who ran through to give United the lead.
However, 61FC were not finished and minutes later their forward raced clear with only Jeckells to beat but the Bulls keeper stood large to make a great save. At this point 61FC were throwing everything at the Bulls and United were soaking it up and hitting the home side on the counter, and in the dying minutes of the ninety Bassett latched on to a poor header rounded the keeper for his second and United’s third.
In injury time another flowing move saw a well deserved goal for Shane Fox after good work from Baxter and Bassett.
A good three points, but boy we were made to work for it. On to another away game next Saturday when we go to Tring Corinthians.

Other than the pitch, it was still within the stadium complex, parking, changing rooms, bar, etc. So not a surprise that’s the address they put.

Munchkin - So you mean Berkhamsted Raiders tried to pull the wool over everyone's eyes then, that's certainly no surprise as I have heard some things about their Chairman Keith Pollard who, as we know, is trying to pull the rug from under Berkhamsted FC at Broadwater.

I'm intrigued. Do you have more malicious and unfounded rumour that you would share?

BerkoRaiders - Don't shoot the messenger, that's just what I have heard on the grapevine, Mr Pollard doesn't appear to be too popular in the corridors of power at Broadwater.
