Prediction League 21/22 - expressions of intent please. Week 1 will be 4th Sep.

Afternoon all.  Excellent performance at Horsham I thought.

But how's your performance?  And will you be (re)joining the Prediction League?  Of course you will.

Can you let me know please so I can adjust the size of the divisions etc.

First week will be Sat Sep 4th, with normal 14 games plus playoffs taking us up to Christmas, with the Spring season starting in January.  Ten pounds (voluntary) to join so we can give the SA a bit of bunce, with free ride for last year's champion Mr D.  I'll try to collect in person as it reduces the paypal overhead, plus it gives me spending money for the pub each week.

And as a MAJOR innovation I thought we should rename Div 1 (Upminster) as the "FA Trophy Division" and Div 2 (Collier Row South) as the "FA Vase Division", particularly as Romford have become a complete irrelevance (famous last words that will come back to haunt me).

So far I have had confirmations from  Ozz, Lord Up, Mr D, Baby Jago and Lady Jago so no need for you guys to respond.

New joiners welome - just let me know on here or via Jordan.  Rules are simple but kept secret to avoid accusations of cheating.  Predicting on the forum is preferred but there's also a whattsapp option if you have problems registering.  Note it takes a few days before you can post on here, so don't leave it too late.

IMPORTANT TERMS & CONDITIONS - If we end up with more than 24 teams then relegation reprieves will kick-in, starting with MikeMike.  If we get 20 or under,  then regrettably promotion spots will be denied, starting with Urchin Queen.  (Nb this has never happened but you never know),

Thanks everyone, including Dinamo and Fat Tom who will no doubt be happy to provide their normal "low bar" to reassure any new joiners worried about lack of experience.  Or competence.

And let's face it, if both Adrian and Diamond Geezer can get promoted at their first attempt, frankly anyone can. ?

Everyone from last season has signed up except Sir Colin, Doctor Hat, and The Tea Man, but I'm assuming this is an oversight as they are all forgetful fekkers and I will be giving them a subtle reminder shortly.

Meanwhile - we have room for more joiners, so do get in touch.  (Mr D - is Mrs D still keen?)

As per tradition a team will be put forward for this and as per tradition the team name will change again as we try to trick everyone into forgetting last season's relegation. The Strathbungo Strugglers are ready to be relegated to the FA Pot Plant League. Bring it on.

Jolly Good Mr Hat. Welcome back. I'll try and get the spelling write on the StratherBoyz.

Meanwhile both Cuppa Tea and Sir Colin have also confirmed re-entry, which is good news for Diamond Geezer and Urchin Queen as it means your promotion is confirmed.    

Reassuringly that means ALL of last season's managers are back in.  But we currently have no new entrants, despite enquiries from as far away as North Chingford. Maybe we are a dying breed, bravely battling against a drawn out but inevitable demise.  Or maybe it's just too scary or embarrassing to be on here. 

Either way, if you're a newbie who wants to join, please let me know by Saturday night as I'll be doing the fixtures on Sunday 29th.
