I drove past the two sign boards outside the ground this morning and noticed the Wooooood game is still up there instead of the Bedford game.

 

Are we trying to keep the gate down?

I thought those two chaps from the Supporters Club Committee dealt with the Hatfield Road signboards, Laz.

 

If they have 'failed to achieve the desired objective', I think that they should be relieved of that honour and it should be passed to someone who is capable of putting details of the next fixture up following the last one. Fixture that is. The last fixture. On the boards.

 

You just can't get the staff, Laz.

One of the two chaps is, indeed, in Lanzarotte. He left all the accoutrements and paraphanalia relating to the two signboards with the second chap. The second chap suffered an unfortunate accident last week-end and is in hospital. [Not as seriously hurt as was first feared, I'm pleased to say.]

 

Entry to the second chaps residence cannot be obtained at very short notice.

 

In all of the circumstances, a couple of posters advertising future fixtures, including the Bedford game will be put up on each of the boards. Not ideal, but better than advertising the Woood.

 

One of those unfortunate things that happen from time to time.
