Reading Rebel
Slow start to game where we were under the cosh for the first 10 minutes but then came into the game and gave as good as we got for the rest of the first half with their keeper making one excellent save from a Josh Jackman volley and Jon North making a few crucial saves to keep Aldershot at bay. We started ok for the second half but then conceded 2 quick goals to go 2-0 down. Again we regained our composure and had a couple of decent chances before Hodgey won a penalty tucked away by Kuhl to make it 2-1. Our best player was Jonathan North who pulled off some excellent saves to keep us in the game. Reasonably good attendance for a pre season game of 388. rebelbrewer
Whilst I'd agree that Jonathan made 2 excellent saves I'm not sure he was our best player. Most players played well, including Eitel and Joe, the new squad members. If you forced me to pick one it would be Josh Jackman who played 2 different roles very well and so nearly scored a worldy. Much better performance than Tuesday.
Shredding Green
I couldn't go to the match today but was very pleased to see that Aaron Kuhl was able to play the full 90 minutes after coming off injured on Tuesday.

He came on as a sub in the second half.

Yes, I will be at Arbour Park on Tuesday evening and will see you then. That's two incorrect posts that I have made today! But I did have a long day out yesterday to meet up with an acquaintance who moved to near Saffron Walden ... a day made even longer by Metropolitan Line malfunctions taking me 1 hour 22 minutes from Uxbridge to Liverpool Street and 1 hour 43 minutes Liverpool Street to Uxbridge instead of the normal 50 minutes.
