Rebel Rebel
I'm not sure if it's already been mentioned on the forum but I've just realised that, with 21 teams in NLS (again) this season, our "empty" match days are Bank Holiday Monday 30th August and... the final day of the NLS Fixture Calendar, Saturday 7th May 2022. So the Rebels will play last match away to Hampton & Richmond on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May 2022 and us fans won't necessarily know whether or not we can celebrate promotion/play-off place/avoiding relegation* (*select as appropriate, depending on your outlook!) when the final whistle sounds. I suppose somebody has to be the 21st team but it's a shame it's us. Hopefully the NLS will be back to 22 teams again in the near future... Bernie Gogan
Not back to 22 teams but increased to 24 as of 22/23 season. It was planned for this season but Covid got in the way.

How does that work with promotion & relegation this season? 2 get promoted into the NL as normal, 1 goes down and 4 teams come up from the Southern & Isthmian Premier divisions? epicrebel
Those 2 days August and the last game of the season are 2 of the games the club would of made more as the crowd would be higher than normal. Ok 1 but how the League can do that twice.

Ok 1 but how the League can do that twice. Slough Town do have league fixtures scheduled for the other five bank holidays - 26th December, 2nd January (both Sundays the day before a bank holiday), 15th April, 18th April and 2nd May. We also have a home fixture against Hampton & Richmond Borough on Tuesday 28th December and our last home match is against Dartford on Saturday 30th April. Still plenty of opportunities for bumper crowds if we have a good season.
