Illegal Approaches........

Recommended Posts

It's happened again!

I have it on good authority that, for at least the THIRD time this season, we have had players approached without going through the proper channels.

Anyone else suffer from this problem ?

Still, at least it proves that we must be doing something right....

Some of our players at Ilford have been approached by the manager and some players at ETFC.

Eventually one of them left but only because he was given an ultimatum...!

Shame really......that someone respected in the game should do this....

Saying this, at our level it goes on all day long so its not just a dig at ETFC but the non league game in general.

But I know for a fact that we never made any approaches for Danny Alleyne,Danny Clarke,Alan Fenn,Wayne Grant or Dave Allen. They left ETFC of their own accord.

The fact remains that ETFC's manager along with two key players constantly rang Danny Clarke to get him back over to ETFC.

This had such an unsettling effect on him that the final call by the manager of ETFC rang him not long before meeting up with the Ilford squad at Southend Manor. This may....yes I said may have contributed to his sending off as he was definately not in the right frame of mind.

Like I say...he's not the only one as it happens time and time again......but the ETFC manager is the king of tapping up..!

I think u will find that these players were either surplus to requirements; (just not good enuff)or fell out with JC.

As for tapping up, great accuasation, fancy proving
it in court?

People talk, they tell me it is good to! And the telephone never rang the other way round? Dream on!

Enfield Town fans have you not learned your lesson. Your record in court is even worse than your record against Concord.

I think you'll find people like Clarke chose to leave ETFC after finding out very late last season that even though they won the league your ground wasn't up to Ryman level and you faced another season (at least) in the ESL. Broken promises.

Hows the ground getting on at the moment? Fancy your chances of getting your Ryman grading?

Jealous of what?

I have asked if your ground is up to scratch yet.

If you want to know the reason why Clarke left ask him, as you are aware he has returned to your club.

Jealous of your record in court? Don't think so.

So you are telling me your ground is nearly completed. Ryman grading shouldn't be a problem, we will wait and see.
