But this evening, shots 6-23; shots on target 1-4 and corners 0-3 but The Magician conjured up a 1-0 victory.

The Magician has just shot into top spot on the bookies odds pushing Nuno Espirito Santo into second place ahead of Steven Gerrard.

Mason the Puppet is above the Magician.

SD - I rate Ian Evatt and Ryan Mason as two top managers in fifteen years time if other factors allow the pyramid to stand firmly in place.

28th June : Nuno Espirito Santo could be named as new Fenerbahce head coach in the coming days after entering advanced talks with the Turkish club. This comes despite renewed interest from Tottenham in their ongoing search for a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho.

News from Turkey suggests that the Portuguese may not be staying in the Premier League at all, with Radyo Gol claiming a ‘final meeting’ between Nuno and Fenerbahce is taking place on Monday.

Despite contact with Spurs, he has seemingly now become the most likely candidate to take the vacant job in Istanbul after talks with the Super Lig giants ‘accelerated’, with the scheduled meeting potentially resulting in him being offered the job and appointed.

30th June : Tottenham are closing in on the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager.

Nuno is now close to being appointed amid input from new sporting director Fabio Paratici, who has flown into England to complete the process.

Given the difficulties Tottenham have already experienced, few fans will believe the saga is over until an official announcement is made.

There is an urgency around the situation because players who have not been involved in major tournaments this summer are due to begin pre-season training on Monday.

Tottenham play their first pre-season match at Leyton Orient on 17 July.

Been told by a reliable source that its very likely to be Nuno Espirito Santo now.

There are some on this forum much more capable than me at football management who would spot an inside left with potential.

But I being an accountant can spot a good insider when I see one.

SENSATION OUR POINT!

He's still in third place with the bookies behind Graham Potter in first and Roberto Martinez in second whose management record with Belgium is :-
03.08.16 - Present Played 35  26-6-3 Win rate 74.29%
A bit of that would go down well with Tottenham!
Belgium v Portugal in Euro 2020 is at 20.00 on Sunday 27th June.

Roberto Martinez's win % of 50.0 at Swansea City in his W63 D37 L26 reign from 24.2.2007 - 15.6.2009 was the highest win rate of 47 Swansea managers from 1.8.1914 to date, the second highest being 47.1% for Joe Bradshaw from 1.8.1919 - 1.5.1926.

And some of you say that I'm just a statistics man!!!

As I said on 27th June 2021, Tottenham Hotspur should have appointed The Magician as manager.
