Dan Roberts

Surprised to see Dan Roberts has left. Thought he always looked lively and a goal threat and had bags of potential.

Good luck Dan.

Surprised at this.  Although not the most skillful he was a speedy player and worked hard for the team.

I totally agree with you Martin.

He also imporessed me in interviews.

But if he goes up a level or two and establishes himself as a regular in the starting XI, this is the right time in his career for the move.

The blurb say's he's joining another club in our league so I'd guess it's another club in the NLS.

Sorry RR. I read the Fans Forum webpage before I read the Slough Town FC webpage. DW probably, I think.

How many goals did Dan score last season, anyone know?

I liked what he gave to our team, the season before last, and he certainly surprised me in how good he was, considering he had made the big step up from Windsor's level. He certainly caught the eye and in his first season with us, he seemingly wanted to get involved into the thick of the action. However, I didn't think he was the be all end all, in terms of what strikers can offer, so while I'm a bit shocked to see him leaving, I'm not overly despondent. How Dan did last season, with no big encouragement from a crowd, I've not got a clue of, so perhaps his performances have waned somewhat?

I still believe our up front firepower can improve drastically,so maybe a couple of new faces in our forward line might actually be a good thing. Time will tell.

Bit of a bummer Dan is going to another team in National League South, though. He's proved he's good enough for this level but whether he can progress higher is a hard one to call.

We will have to wait and see, if his departure proves to be a mistake.  It can go one of two ways ! ha ha!

Purely geographical and Hemel seem to like the younger type players.

What about Hampton?  Gary McCann seems to know his onions and he tries young players out.

Hungerford is another one but I can't see Dan Roberts going there. Oxford City, too, would be looking for players but I would think it will be between Hemel and Hampton.

Certainly a good possibility.

Even less so now you’d think as they’ve just signed Floody!

That’s Hungerford by the way.

Ah but that’s on the presumption that Dan lives local to Slough! I’m sure most are fairly local but look at Jack and one of his motives to move was distance.

I don't know where Dan Lives but as he's played for Windsor and Slough I'd guess he lives fairly local.

Hmmm... Hampton and Dorking are the next nearest clubs after Slough so he must be signing for one of those!!!

Dorking are announcing their 4th and final signing on Thursday.

Looking at the strikers they have at Dorking i'll be shocked if it's Dan.

Hampton and Hemel imo are the only real possibilities.

It'll be good to lock horns again with Floody.

Hopefully we can get one over a side that in recent times seem to be our nemesis.

Was surprised they signed Floody as he’s been playing sparsely and at lower leagues since he left us. Be interesting how he fares after a few seasons away from this level (he’s bound to score against us!!!).
