old towner
this made me giggle and its on our website The British weather won’t stop us from going ahead – so please come prepared for rain or shine! Due to adverse weather conditions, tonight’s showing of A Star Is Born — the final open air cinema event at the club — has had to be regretfully cancelled. Bottoms Up
It’s a admirable initiative by our club to host such a community orientated event at the Stadium. it’s inspiring that we’re delving into non football events to attract more people to our venue. such a shame only 1/3 of the showings went ahead. Typically This weekends weather is looking mild and dry
Steph1
It was not the rain, but the wind. I asked before it was erected how the large screen was stabilised for wind and was given the safety limits of wind speed. Having gone to open air festivals in pouring rain I anticipated the event would take place in rain but was concerned about the pitch.
andyetfc
The club will learn from this and not promote films like ‘Gone with the wind’ or ‘Singing in the rain’.?
Bottoms Up
Must be tough in June for clubs like us in a Pandemic. restrictions on income generating to I presume zero yet so much expenditure to prepare for a new season. I suppose supporters will gradually begin purchasing their season tickets
