Havant and Eastleigh already have very good keepers so doubtful he'll end up at those clubs.

Dorking has been rumored but distance wise there's not a lot between travelling to Dorking or Slough.

I reckon he'll end up dropping down a level.

Shame imo if he drops a level but personal and family  interests also important  The best keeper we've had for many years imo and well capable of playing at a higher level.

I think someone said on twitter that if Jack was another 3 or 4 inches taller he would have been a keeper in the Football League.

He is 6'2".

That’s fake news!

On his signing for Staines Town on 12th June 2012 : "The 6ft 2” keeper is relishing the opportunity to test himself against the league’s top strikers, as well as rough treatment from opposition defenders from set pieces." The same height is also shown in Transfer Market.

He definitely isn't 6ft 2. Maybe when he signed for Staines he had hair and a big quiff. Excellent keeper though

How do they get these stats?

I would be very surprised if Jack didn't end up at Dorking. They would certainly compensate him for all the travelling.

We are very lucky to have Jonathan North as a replacement, a real trusted pair of hands at this level.

Didn't Jack leave because of the travelling involved not the cost?

I'd be surprised if he decided to join Dorking again purely because of the travelling distance.

There's a hell of a lot going on at Dorking of late with Premiership clubs interest.

I just hope it won't all end in tears.

While I'm not sure Jack will join Dorking, Dorking is a lot nearer to him than Slough.

I can't see Jack dropping down a league unless it's to a team with ambitions of promotion and willing to pay for such a quality keeper, which Jack has proven to be.

Someone like Havant or Eastleigh[wealthier clubs] may want two quality goalkeepers on their books, each vying for the top spot, until one proves to be better than the other, as this adds competition and they can always loan the surplus keeper out and are also covered for injury. It's not unheard of, is it ? Why even Steve Bateman did this for Slough, when he was trying for the title with the acquistions of Jamie Jackson and Ricky Perks. I also recall Slough's Alan Davies having Gary Lester and Trevor Bunting vying top spot in another season. So who knows where Jack will end up?

Another convenient option might be a speedboat from Hayling Island to Eastbourne Borough or Weymouth.

You say a lot nearer but looking at google:

Hayling Island to Slough - 1hr 25

Hayling Island to Dorking 1hr 17

Just as an aside it was not all about travelling with Jack, that is a factor, but also a factor is his work, as he has a new contract starting in Kent for 7 months.

Travelling from Hayling Island to Kent to Slough back to Hayling would not have been an ideal option for either to be honest.

He has a few options and have been chatting them through with him, I don’t think he will mind me saying but he played in a friendly game for Dorking, but they have already agreed a deal with another keeper, so will not be going there.

Not such a good deal then! Nevertheless on par I would say. Hopefully they're not jumping the gun again as some clubs did last time around.

We all know exactly where these places but when we look at a map, where they are in relation to each other is not so easy!

Hayling Island is 38 miles west of being directly south of London but Dorking is only 6 miles west of being directly south of London.

Hence distances by road are Hayling Island to Slough 67.5 miles and Dorking 59.2 miles.
