This should be an interesting affair, the sides had yet to lock horns at Icknield Way or Green Lane prior to the season coming to an abrupt halt just before Christmas, last season Bovingdon won 2-1 at Icknield Way shortly before the curtain came down prematurely and it was a feisty affair with yellow cards being brandished like confetti by normally placid Referee Peter Hazel:

This should also be an interesting one despite Old Bradwell United putting Mursley United to the sword 4-0 at Abbey Road on Saturday 12 December, just before the premature end of the 2020/21 campaign. The visitors won't go down without a fight and were very unlucky to lose 1-0 there in a Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy Second Round tie last season with pretty much the last 'kick' of the game when substitute Peter Maxey headed home a disputed free kick although of course Mursley United still had their talisman Jamie Green in the side. kick off 3.00pm:

I gather this one is still 0-0 after twenty minutes or so however Dunstable Town have had the lions share of the play so far and should be in front, the visitors are struggling to find their feet:

Tring Corinthians AFC v Bovingdon

Bovingdon led 1-0 at Icknield Way at the interval through George Loosely on 27 minutes and extended that lead on 54 minutes with a Thomas Clilverd strike before Jamie Eames made it 3-0 from the spot just after the hour mark. A minutes silence was observed beforehand for His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh:

An early match report from this one which even seems to have beaten Leverstock Green:

Tring Corinthians 0 v Bovington 3
Football resumed at a windy Icknield Way after the best part of a 4 month delay due to you know what. I think it's fair to say that both sides were a bit on the rusty side to start off with in the first half. Corries best chance of the half was when their centre forward broke through and tried to lob the keeper from about 25 yards out, but unfortunately his decent effort just cleared the crossbar. Bovingdon took the lead after 26 minutes when from a corner the ball broke loose to their number 9 George Loosely who buried the chance from 8 yards out.
The second half the game improved but unfortunately for the homesters Bovingdon upped their game, and scored a delightful second after 53 minutes when from a very good flowing move number 6 Tom Culverd volleyed home from about 15 yards. The scoring was completed after 63 minutes when from a clumsy challenge in the box resulted in a penalty. Up stepped number 5 Jamie Eames who confidently stroked the ball home with the home custodian going in the opposite direction. Final score 0 - 3.
Finally credit must go to the organisation from Gary and crew at Corries who had everything well organised on a cold blustery day in Tring. Roll on the summer, and some warmth!

Went along to 'watch' this one.

Some clinical finishing by a quick and fit Rayners Lane gave them a deserved win.
