Fixture complications!

Recommended Posts

Romford have been given an extra fixture at the end of Feb, and wouldn't you know it, it's Hullbridge at home!

This means that, if we don't lose any to the weather, we go into March with just four league games to play - Concord home and away, Sawbo away and Ilford away.

Don't tell me Len's not trying to engineer an exciting end to the season ...

One home game in the last two months of the season, who writes the script for these fixtures, I can't belive they are organised so haphazardly, my 9 year old could do better.

What was the hurry to play the Hullbridge game?

Before Feb we had four home games to play in three months, so what do the powers to be do, give us three home games in a row. No wonder we have trouble improving our gates.

Baldrick and Boroman, this means that we will be champions as early as the end of March. We can put our feet up, win the G.Brasted trophy as well and this also means that we have another 4.5 months to attempt to keep Reedy and now Rogie (Jimmy Cooper leaving to take the reigns at Met Police) as our managers after Enfield and Ilford have tapped them up. I do agree with your points of three home games in a row doesn't exactly give the Boro the opportunity to take advantage of our league position and attract bigger crowds in our bid for the league title, especially as it seems that Hornchurch have next to no chance of winning their league.(perhaps their chairman should release more money to Mr Borg)

I presume you're not being entirely serious, but just in case, even if we were to win every game for the rest of the season we could still finish as low as third. So no getting carried away just yet, eh?

Anyway we've got to make history and win away to Eton Manor for the first time ever yet!

It's the ground shares that scr€w it up; but if they set all the fixtures out, then checked with those clubs that share, and re-check and amend.

As you set not too difficult.

then make re-arrangements caused by cup draws involving landlords and tennents for ground availability and tennents being drawn away when its their week to play at home,re-check and amend.THEN add in the weather.Easy really.
And then some "wiseguy" from another team questions the level you play at!
