Happy New Year

Recommended Posts

We had a Happy New Year thread for 2020 little knowing what was about to happen and what lay in store for us all. The year also saw the sad death of many iconic players and Managers including Martin Peters Jack Charlton, Nobby Stiles and Hans Tilkowski who all played in the 1966 World Cup Final as well as England Internationals Norman Hunter, Peter Bonetti Trevor Cherry and Ray Clemence, Paolo Rossi and Diego Maradona have also left us. Let us hope 2021 is going to be a better year, it certainly couldn't be any worse:

What's everyone up to this New Years Eve?

It was sad news about 'The Doc' today wasn't it, that put even more of a dampener on things if that's possible. RIP:

A touching New Year messege from Ampthll Town:

On behalf of Ampthill Town FC I would like to wish a Happy New Year to all of our Supporters, Sponsors, Management, Coaches, Players, Volunteers and Committee. It has been a difficult year for us all but hopefully good news is on the horizon in 2021. We thank you for the tremendous support you have given the club over 2020 and the hard work put in by our volunteer coaches and Committee in getting games on, at every level, be it youth, development or 1st team. The support shown in our recent home games in both league and FA Vase was phenomenal. This club will move forward into 2021 stronger because of it, thank you. Have a great night with family and see you all in 2021. Best Wishes to All. Gary M, Chairman.

I see that the SSML have got in on the act, you would have thought that their greeting could have been something to do with football:

It will be interesting to see how The 61 FC (Luton) do once we get underway again, Richard Everitt has moved upstairs at the Kingsway Recreation Ground and there is a new Management structure in place for both the First team and Reserves:

To all involved in 61FC we wish you a Happy New Year and hopefully it will be brighter and better! Richard Everitt 61FC
