Do you think so, you sound like the Groundhopping FC guy. Last season and the season before were both 1-1 draws for Broadfields United's 'home fixture' at Preston Park, 2018/19 was in Division One when both Club's were promoted together and it was one of only two League games the so called invincibles (Harefield United) failed to win that season, the other being a 1-1 draw at London Lions, an amazing record.

288 at Bell Close in the cold and rain! Unbelievable.

Before GRS67 gets home from his game at Edgware Town, does that include or exclude the twenty Officials from both Club's ? . I see that Connor Calcutt scored twice, why has he been on the bench recently out of interest, it wasn't the expected cake walk this evening was it with the third goal only coming in the 96th minute.

No, it was a difficult game to be fair. Tring shouldn’t be in the situation they are, played well. The red card changed the tie.

connor was superb all evening, he had a baby with his mrs, but now, he’s back and fighting fit!

Where's Leverstock Green's match report, it's a poor show isn't it at 10.30pm, actually could the person who pens their excellent reports get into the Brache this evening (pictured) to see the game. I gather a red card for Leverstock Green's Tom Littleboy on 36 minutes made all the difference with the score at that juncture 1-1, they managed to hold out until the interval before goals on 53 and 64 minutes made it 3-1 to Crawley Green. Credit to Leverstock Green for pulling a goal back on 67 minutes through Luke Peerless and with eleven players on the field would have surely got something out of the game however the hosts made it 4-2 in stoppage time:

Yes, that was definitely the difference at the Brache last night and cost Leverstock Green at least a point:

I wonder if the real reason Hillingdon Borough FC have banned there supporters from watching there home games is to hide the fact that they wouldn't get any home supporters through the gate at the moment because they are getting hammered in every game ? They have now conceded 18 goals in 4 games.

AlwaysLeighton - You know it was a League game last night don't you and not a cup tie. Why was Connor not wearing a number on his shirt or have I got the wrong end of the stick, would that be allowed not to wear a number:

Yes, of course.
The players wash their own shirts and kit, to protect them from any COVID related things etc, so he got a blank shirt unfortunately.

How do we see this one going, will St Panteleimon be suffering any after effects from their disappointing FA Vase exit on Saturday:

A groundhopper from another Forum was at Bell Close last night:

Spartan South Midlands Premier
Leighton Town 3-1 Tring Athletic
Admission £6, didnt see any paper, Att: 288

Either the NHS app, or old fashioned pen and paper to check in here. I chose the former.
The move from a 7.45 kick off to 7.30 changes this one from "theoretically possible to get back by train but with some very tight connections" into "relatively comfortable unless there's a significant delay". The ref tried his best to achieve said delay by adding 7 or 8 minutes of stoppage time, meaning a rather brisker walk back than I'd have liked, but all was fine.
Pre-match refreshment was taken at the Black Lion, where the Nethergate Growling Dog Milk Stout was the pick of the ales. From there it was around a 10 minute walk to the ground.
With the rain steadily falling, there was a large queue at the single turnstile, so it was a relief to finally get in and be able to find some cover. I chose to sit in the main stand. There was a large vocal home contingent (including drum) behind the goal at the far end, but I didn't venture down that far.
Despite Tring being bottom of the table without so much as a point, there wasn't a huge amount between the teams in the first half. Leighton looked slightly stronger without ever seeming dominant - no doubt not helped by a pitch that looked very wet in places. Just when it seemed likely that half time would arrive with the match still goalless, the visitors went ahead on 39 minutes. The very young looking number 7 did some good work down the left before cutting in onto his right foot and firing a low shot which the keeper could only parry. number 9 stabbed home the rebound. Four minutes later Leighton levelled. A fine cross from the left was headed in at close range by a man with no shirt number.
On 66 minutes the visiting number 17, having just come on as a sub, was sent off for an off the ball incident. Depending on who you listened to he either headbutted his opponent or merely put his hands out to prevent his opponent from backing into him. Either way, after consultation with the linesman, the red card was shown. Tring supporters sitting behind me mentioned that this was his debut, in which case he has had more red cards than touches of the ball in his Athletic career to date.
From then on it was always likely that Leighton would go on to win the game, but it took until the 84th minute before Tring's resistance was broken - number 10 latching onto a long ball forward and firing past the keeper from around 15 yards The third goal arrived 6 minutes into stoppage time. The keeper made a block with his legs and the man with no number pounced on the rebound to grab his second and Town's third.
