Dorking v Slough

Blimey, we are in deep s***.

For tomorrows game we have a 15 man squad and that includes Dan Roberts having to take a fitness test on his knee to see if he can even be in the squad, Max Worsfold who was not fit enough to play on Tuesday and a young keeper.

Is there any sign of this money or are the NL still trying to work out the maximum they can rob from the fund?

Absolute disgrace that clubs still don't know how much they will get.

We’re still awaiting for the actual sum let alone the physical cash! Once that’s known I’m sure we’ll add to our depleted squad but who knows when that fruitful day will arrive... so tomorrow we’ve more or less got 12 players to choose from, I think we’d all take a draw now and be very grateful!

Getting the cash is obviously important but just knowing the amount would be helpful.

The NL know the amount they are receiving so why the delay?

Do they actually realize how important this is to clubs or do they think that every club has enough money in the bank to pay players and also, as in our case, bring players in if there's an injury crisis ?

Reading Rebel: how do you know what the National League are doing? Are you on their committee as you  post unsubstantied allegations, so you must know something we dont?

"Is there any sign of this money or are the NL still trying to work out the maximum they can rob from the fund? " Unhelpful to STFC.

Why is it unhelpful to STFC?

Apart from the fact that the last time I checked this is an unofficial fans forum where peoples opinions are their own and not connected to STFC, I don't think I've said anything that hasn't been said or suspected by others already.

I think we've every right to get the hump with the NL.

They've had over a week now to get rustle up some figures for their member clubs most of whom are desperate to hear some good news.

Dorking are showing the live stream in their clubhouse which seems in contradiction to other clubs in previous weeks being told that they can't.

RR I think that's in Deepdene the supporters club official bar which isn't  in the ground.

Certainly strange that we've had to pay in Dollars, not sure how that works when the credit card bill comes in.

I've checked my bank account and they've charged me £5.39 for a game advertised as Only £5. ?

There seemed an awful lot of people in the stand! Plus about a dozen watching over the fence.

Overall we didn't look like getting much from the game, first 20 minutes we were good, but second half just couldn't get going. Cameron McGilp looked good as he did in friendlies. I assume we have an idea of funds available if he's signed. Ex Swindon Town, Melbourne City and Birmingham City btw.

Jason Prior's goal clinched it, great strike.

We have started like last season,  except this time we've already got 3 points!

My view of the game.

I thought we started very well, competing all over the pitch and it was looking like a very even match up between the two sides.

We took the lead from an own goal, unfortunately we then proceeded to concede two very poorly defended goals especially their second where not one player picked up the Dorking player at the far post and a free header gave them a 2-1 lead. For the remainder of the second half Dorking were gradually getting on top and were starting to take control of central midfield.

As the second half wore on we seemed to run out of legs, especially in central midfield, with Aaron Kuhl getting deeper and deeper and the new signing Cameron McGilp understandably looking dead on his feet and getting nowhere near the now dominant Dorking midfield.

From what initially looked like being a very even game, again understandable with us having no forwards for the majority of the game, Dorking ran out fairly comfortable winners.

We put a plucky fight but the two quick goals we conceded so soon after we went 1-0 up was a telling turning point in the game.

As for the Live Streaming I thought it was excellent from start to finish.

Agree Cameron McGilp looked ok until he ran out of legs.

My only concern is that I think another striker is more important to us at this present time than another midfielder.

Do we know how Ollie McCoy is doing?

We had been told he trained with us and than that he had signed for us and no news of him since.

Was due to be in the squad last week at Dartford, but pulled out on the Friday as he did not want to be cup tied.

He was with Beaconsfield today.

Do we really need another midfielder? Going by the website squad profiles we have 8 already! Although I’d still include Hodges as a midfielder. Signing Olly would give us 9/10 midfielders!!! It’s unfortunate we’re not actively looking for a striker even as a loan as I think we desperately need one as it seems Ben could be out for several weeks plus we’re still don’t know about Ada. Maybe once the funds are received we can look to sign one.
