With a spell of heavy rain due tomorrow morning there must be a slight question whether the game will be played tomorrow night.

Windsors pitch is one of the best grass pitches with good drainage so hopefully with a dry afternoon and evening forecast it should be ok.

If games are called off because of a bit of a downpour in this weather, we have no hope for the upcoming season. Should be ok me thinks.

Not the rain to be a problem in my view.  Floodlights  -  Possibly !!

It's looking very unlikely that supporters will be allowed into Non League step 1 and 2 friendly matches before the league programme is due to start on Oct. 3rd.

The Government have announced it's pilot events for the safe return of spectators to football:

August 29th Brighton will host a pre-season friendly match.

August 30th Lewes FC will host a Womens pre-season friendly.

September 12th West Ham will host a Womens Super League fixture.

September 27th Wembley will host non League finals day (Trophy and Vase).

Windsors floodlights were working perfectly....for now  ?

Have to say their grass pitch is excellent.

I have to admit I was always impressed with their pitch on my frequent old visits there with Kevin Stott.

I remember they had frequent problems with their  floodlights but believe thay have been resolved.

Why would the club do that? There would not be enough interest in friendlies.

Last seasons home friendlies:

v Eastleigh Attendance 374

v Sutton 412

v Bournemouth under 23's 426

v Hartley Wintney 318

This seasons home friendlies

Boreham Wood, Weymouth and Aldershot

WR, how many supporters do think will want to pay say £5 to watch these games?

The other option is to do nothing and the club will lose money.

Cant see many people wanting to pay £5 to watch a meaning less friendly in their living room.

It’s probably not viable but you shouldn’t dismiss it out of hand. It could be that FC Video offer to show 1, 2 or all 3 friendlies for free or for a very competitive rate. It may then only need a small take up for it to be considered. I don’t normally bother with friendlies but this time it’s very different and most fans are desperate for some live action. I certainly would be interested at £5 a match, not to say I’d pay to watch all 3. The club may well have already explored this option.

In these times of covid where supporters are desperate to watch their team play I think there would be a lot of interest for a fiver against the sort of opposition we've lined up.

Then of course you've got to consider the size of the Weymouth and Aldershot support and would a % of them pay £5 to watch a game they cannot attend?

The answer IMO is most probably yes.
