Interviews

They could make some very interesting interviews and possibly some might even be unearthed as useful new contacts.

Les Briley, for instance, always keeps an eye on the Slough Town results. He is currently Millwall's Assistant Youth Academy Manager and is also an excellent member of the Millwall hospitality team.

Great idea!

Would love to hear from Eggie James and Eric Young especially.

Having just completed writing up a lot of the 93-94 season reports, Les Briley would be an interesting one if possible. Ian Hazel as well? He's been in touch with the website guys recently as he provided the Wycombe footage so we should be able to get in touch.

Eric Young would be brilliant but I'd say next to no chance of getting him - he refused to appear in that brilliant crazy gang documentary from a few years back and apparently works as an accountant now with no interest in reliving his football career.

Early on in lock down I went on to this site ex non league players on facebook a number of ex slough players mentioned. Neil balcombe not slough told me he spoke to steve Thompson during lock down.

Gary Attrell is a good laugh always in the bar never short of playing career stories.

That's harsh on Rav Braich ?

Is that how you spell his surname? Just looked on our player data base and he's not there under that spelling.

As far as I can remember he stayed with us for years without hardly playing and then left when he started getting a game due to lack of players.

His name should is spelled Rav Braith.

He didn't play for Rebels during a golden era like Terry Reardon did.

He appeared on the teamsheet in 24 matches with results of 5-3-16. In his last seven home league matches, Rebels lost  0-2, 0-4, 0-3, 0-8, 0-4 and 0-2 with a 2-2 draw against Margate in the miiddle!

What about Trevor Howe? Played for Watford professionally and for Slough when the team won promotion from the Vauxhall Opel league to Conference. Also serves a great pint of real ale at his superb pub The Crown at Little Missenden and advertises his inn in the Slough programme. Likes talking football given the chance.

In fact, if you want someone to do a reccy, I could always go in advance! ha ha!
