A brutal one yesterday. Always a couple of those head scratchers each campaign. Hopefully just a blip by this time next month.

RallyInRaleigh - Yes, 'brutal' is putting it mildly, I still don't know what what went so horribly wrong, or 'Peter Tong' as we say, last night despite reading both Kings Langley's and Real Bedford's match reports below, it doesn't make any sense does it after six successive, and impressive, away victories at Hertford Town, Flackwell Heath, Enfield, Northwood, Leighton Town and Beaconsfield Town:

It’s a shame we don’t have Boxing Day games anymore. I didn’t enjoy the new years days ones so glad they’ve gone. Loved playing Boxing Day though.

Cliff, you ever hear from Clement Temile or Kentish Town chaps these days? I didn’t like Lee Scott but was tragic he died so young, very decent player on his day.

A groundhopper from another Forum was at Kings Langley's Orbital Fasteners Stadium last Tuesday evening:

Kings Langley 3 Real Bedford 2. Southern League Division One Central (12th v 2nd). Admission: £10. Programme: Online. Crowd: 188.
It was Andy Warhol who said that one day everybody would be famous for 15 minutes. He was almost right. What he should have said is that one day everybody would have their own Podcast.
Owner of 'crypto Football Club' Real Bedford, Peter McCormack, has his own Podcast and I saw an episode recently. It was not about football but Politics/Finance. Despite this, I quite enjoyed it.
Even though he is an expert in finance, I am still baffled as to how he and his other investors are going to make a return on Real Bedford, formerly known as Bedford FC, not so long ago the third largest Club in Bedford. Maybe money isn't the object and it is publicity, in which case, well done Peter, I'm talking about you now.
This contest began with the visitors, who could have gone top tonight, passing the ball a great deal in their own half as is currently fashionable. However, Kings Langley won possession several times in promising positions but lacked the quality to capitalise.
Then, out of nothing, a goal for the visitors. Tyriq Ward fired in a shot from 25 yards which was palmed away by home keeper Adisorn Connolly. The rebound fell to Thomas Hitchcock who needed one touch to score.
Before half-time there was an equaliser for the hosts. Bradley Smith was played in and finished low past Tyler McGregor.
It was McGregor who provided the home side with a second goal on 64 minutes. He came to the edge of his box to catch a bouncing ball but utterly misjudged its flight and fumbled it to James Towell who scored into an empty net.
A third home goal soon followed when the visitors failed to clear a corner and Darnell-Joe Luke rifled the ball into the net.
Deep into injury time, Drew Richardson pulled a goal back for Real Bedford with a header from a corner.
Not sure what to make of the visitors on this showing. They have some good individual players but as a team they never got going here.

Not Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk but let's get ready to rumble and forget the shock and disappointment of last Tuesday evening at Kings Langley, the fixture with former Conference side, and 'sleeping giant', Aylesbury United will be live streamed:
