Another interesting signing for Real Bedford Ladies in Gemma Biggadike from boss Charlie Bill's former Club Milton Keynes Dons Ladies. Central midfielder Gemma cut her teeth at Watford Ladies prior to her move to Milton Keynes Dons Ladies where she was vice Captain and highly regarded by Charlie Bill hence why he has managed to prise her away from Stadium MK prior to the new, eagerly awaited, 2024/25 campaign:

Jack Snelus (pictured) is the latest Real Bedford signing from Hitchin Town, Jack began his very promising career with Luton Town at youth level before joining Hemel Hempstead Town. Whilst at Kenilworth Road, with Luton a League Two Club, he was instrumental in an exciting run to the FA Youth Cup Quarter Finals in 2015/16 where they were unfortunate to lose 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, the following 2016/17 season Jack bagged a clinical hat trick against Dagenham & Redbridge in a run to the FA Youth Cup Third Round. Following spells at Vauxhall Road and with St Ives Town and AFC Rushden & Diamonds Jack arrived at Top Field for the 2022/23 campaign in the Southern League Premier Division Central where he was a popular member of the Hitchin Town playing staff:

The draws for the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round and Preliminary Round and the Isuzu FA Trophy Preliminary Round and First Qualifying Round, made earlier today, which sees Real Bedford entertain United Counties League Premier Division South St Neots Town in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round and travel to Isthmian League North Division Walthamstow FC in the FA Trophy First Qualifying Round, having received a Preliminary Round bye. Should Rob Sinclair's men be successful against St Neots Town, in the FA Cup tie at McMullen Park on Saturday 3 August, they will entertain Edgware & Kingsbury or Crawley Green:

Yet another interesting signing for Real Bedford Ladies in Laura Mitchell from, once again, boss Charlie Bill's former Club Milton Keynes Dons Ladies who have unfortunately been forced to release a large number of their high quality players due to financial constraints, Laura was top scorer at Stadium MK last season. Prior to Milton Keynes Dons Ladies Laura was with Cambridge United Ladies however cut her teeth with Everton and Wrexham Ladies at youth level and has International experience, also at youth level, with Wales, she also has experience playing College football whilst in the United States at Elon University in Phoenix:

A reminder of Real Bedford Ladies friendly fixtures ahead of the new campaign in the Women's National League Division One South East, note the following change that the Maidenhead United fixture tomorrow (Sunday 7 July) will now, somewhat oddly, be played behind closed doors at the Bisham Abbey Sports Ground:

It was all a bit 'hush hush' and 'secret squirrel' at Bisham Abbey Sports Ground yesterday afternoon however I have it on good authority that Real Bedford Ladies beat FA Women's National League Division One South West Maidenhead United Ladies 7-0, what more is there to say.

Another signing for Real Bedford in Shaheim Ward (pictured) from Milton Keynes Irish, Shaheim has also plied his trade at Kempston Rovers, Potton United and Milton Keynes College Football Academy as well as with Bedford FC under their previous 'guise' prior to Peter McCormack taking over the reins at McMullen Park and transforming the ailing Club, lock stock and barrel. Shaheim has a brother Ty who is equally a gifted player and who I gather has also departed Manor Fields recently, where he was Club Captain, for pastures new:

LondonEagle - Yes, 3-2 to Real Bedford, fair play to last season's SSML 'compatriots' Arlesey Town for making a decent game of it. There's a two step gap between Bedford Town and Newport Pagnell Town so what do you expect and they no doubt had one eye on Friday evening's showpiece friendly at Willen Road with Milton Keynes Dons.

Another interesting signing for Real Bedford Ladies in 'no nonsense' full back Kerry Newman (pictured) from, yet again, boss Charlie Bill's former Club Milton Keynes Dons Ladies where she has loyally remained for some ten years. Kerry had a number of highlights at Stadium MK during her long tenure including lifting the Berks & Bucks Women’s Senior Cup on separate occasions, all under Charlie Bill's leadership, there are clearly more honours for her to come under Charlie at McMullen Park:

Young goalkeeper Alfie Mumford (pictured) has signed on the dotted line for Real Bedford from Winslow United. Alfie cut his teeth at Milton Keynes Dons Academy before joining Pitstone & Ivinghoe where he plied his trade for some two and a half seasons before arriving at Elmfields Gate during the 2022/23 campaign, he won the supporters player of the season award last season following Winslow United's promotion to Step 5 level for the first time since joining the SSML in 1997/98 as founder members:
