Wild scenes with that attendance. 471! Any idea what sparked such a number?

It was Family Fun day for the youth teams so a lot of kids and parents from Bedford Park Rangers would've been there. Plus the Bitcoin meet-up. But probably also word getting around locally that it's a good afternoon out as well.

Kudos Eagle! Town is off to a fantastic start, themselves.

RallyInRaleigh - As pointed out in an earlier post who have Bedford Town played so far in the League this season, Biggleswade FC, Hadley, Kidlington, Barton Rovers, Welwyn Garden City and Thame United who they have beaten are all in the bottom eight in the table and they have duly struggled in draws against Kings Langley and Waltham Abbey recently, it's only Ware who they somehow managed to beat 7-1 at the Eyrie in late September however everything fell into place for them that evening and Ware didn't turn up, lets see how they perform tomorrow against a good Cirencester Town side.

A belated match report from Real Bedford Ladies first League fixture of the campaign and an impressive 4-1 win over Stevenage Ladies, courtesy of Stevenage FC, an interesting quote whatever it is supposed to mean, it sounds like sour grapes:

https://www.stevenagefc.com/news/2023/august/report-real-bedford-4-1-stevenage-fcw/

From the moment the team arrived and entered the tunnel to the dressing rooms, the ground gave off a vibe akin to that of a theme park prior to going on a frightening rollercoaster.

Real Bedford Ladies entertain Stevenage Ladies once again on Sunday (22 October), this time in a Women's FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie, see an interesting match preview. Here are the highlights from their Eastern Region Women´s League Premier Division meeting on Sunday 13 August in an impressive 4-1 victory for the Ladies to kick off the new season:

How do you work out that a team has ''struggled" in a draw?  i presume you haven't seen any of either game? Kings Langley was a blatant dive to win their pen and Waltham Abbey 2 best players were missing (captain Collard and Watkins), but they were never in danger of losing.

I gather Real Bedford are 2-0 ahead after just half an hour at Manor Fields following a bizarre own goal and a clinical strike from Ben Stevens. Here are the two sides entering the fray this afternoon in front of what looks like a very good attendance:

Real. Bedford must be one of the favourites for the FA Vase after that.

Mates of mine line in Newport Pagnell, who've been in the last 2 finals, and Real Bedford are certainly no weaker than those teams, all depends on luck of draw.

Although Newport got to Wembley twice but missed out on promotion to Step 4 twice.

I'm shocked by the result this past weekend. I really think the Irish have been the better side in the first two tilts by some margin. But a 5-0 drilling on the road definitely changes things. I can't pretend to have any idea of how strong the other hundreds of teams are across the steps but I know the Irish was one to fear. Thrilled to be through and the Wembley dream still alive.

Sorry to sound like a broken 45 rpm, sorry, 78 rpm record but another excellent weekend all round for the Club with Real Bedford winning 5-0 at 'adversaries' Milton Keynes Irish Manor Fields 'fortress' on Saturday in their FA Vase First Round tie and, then, Real Bedford Ladies beating 'fellow' Eastern Region Women´s League Premier Division Stevenage Ladies 4-0 yesterday in the Third Round of the prestigious Women's FA Cup, also at McMullen Park. Watch this space for further details however the draws for the Second Round of the FA Vase and the First Round proper of the Women's FA Cup have just been made that sees Rob Sinclair's men host fellow SSML Premier Division Biggleswade United and the Ladies host Women’s National League Southern Premier Division Billericay Town Ladies:

I see that the draw for the Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup has been made and unfortunately Real Bedford and Bedford Town have avoided each other in the First Round, Real Bedford travel to Bell Close to take on Leighton Town on Tuesday 24 October:

See the match programme for this evening's intriguing Bedfordshire FA Senior Challenge Cup First Round tie at Leighton Town's Bell Close ground, there should be a good attendance:

No cigar then for Rob Sinclair's men last night, it's not the end of the World is it so as to concentrate on the League and FA Vase, there are also the SSML Challenge Trophy and Premier Division Cup still to come. See a match report from the 3-1 defeat at Bell Close which very much flattered Leighton Town who had to rely on two late goals in front of a good attendance of 231:

Bulletin folks, Saturday's (28 October) fixture at Crawley Green has been transferred to McMullen Park due to the state of the art Brache facility, that is used by Premier League Luton Town, being unavailable to Crawley Green although it will still be classed as their home fixture, the game will also be live streamed:

A nice little bonus stream for the international faithful. Has felt like most of the season has been unwatchable with all of the cup action to date. Ready to see a drubbing at road venue McMullen Park! :)

RallyInRaleigh - Nice to hear from you, I hope you and the family are well. Yes, that's right, I wonder whether Crawley Green would have allowed the livestream had the fixture on Saturday been at their state of the art Brache home, it seems like more and more Club's Real Bedford visit are refusing to stream for no apparent reason. I also wonder whether the Ladies games will soon be streamed as their achievements are starting to compete with the Men aren't they particularly if they can beat Billericay Town Ladies in the Women's FA Cup First Round proper tie on Sunday 12 November.

Real Bedford Ladies entertain Needham Market Ladies on Sunday (29 October), kick off 2.00, in an Eastern Region Women´s League Premier Division fixture, Needham Market Ladies stand fifth in the table with four League wins and also came through their Women's FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie last Sunday against Royston Town Ladies, albeit on penalties. There should be another good attendance at McMullen Park to watch boss Dean Perrett's exciting side in action and possibly extend their five point lead at the top of the table with second place Haringey Borough Ladies travelling to Wroxham FC Ladies who's only home defeat this season has come at the hands of Real Bedford Ladies last month:

LondonEagle - I don't believe Bedford Town will have it all their own way in gaining automatic promotion back to Step 3, okay they are currently unbeaten having won eight from ten League games but six of those wins have been against Biggleswade FC, Hadley, Kidlington, Barton Rovers, Welwyn Garden City and Thame United who are all poor sides whereas second place North Leigh are only two points behind having already beaten better sides including Kings Langley 4-1 who Bedford Town struggled against at the Eyrie earlier this month. I still believe they will be playing Real Bedford next season in the Southern League Division One Central.
