Highlights of the action, a match report and post match interviews with boss Dean Perrett as well as player of the match Kaylen Gerkey following 'unstoppable' Real Bedford Ladies 4-0 victory over St Albans City Ladies yesterday. Next week (Sunday 1 October) attention turns to the Women's FA Cup and a Second Qualifying Round tie in London against Hackney Ladies at Wadham Lodge, kick off 2.00pm. London & South East Regional Women's League Division One North Hackney Ladies did very well to come through their First Qualifying Round tie at Beds & Herts Women's League Premier Division Hitchin Belles Ladies Blues on penalties following a 2-2 draw so they will be no pushovers:

Bulletin folks, the draws for the SSML Challenge Trophy and the the SSML Premier Division Cup have been made. In the Challenge Trophy Rob Sinclair's men will entertain Division One side Wellingborough Whitworth on Tuesday 14 November who were very surprise 2-0 winners at McMullen Park last season in a League fixture. In the Premier Division Cup I understand that Real Bedford have received a bye to the Second Round of the competition however you can pretty much guarantee that they will meet Milton Keynes Irish who also appear to have received a First Round bye:

Tuesday 14 November (kick off 7.45pm)

SSML Challenge Trophy First Round

Real Bedford v Wellingborough Whitworth

A very satisfying weekend all round with Real Bedford winning 3-0 at London Lions on Saturday and, then, Real Bedford Ladies trouncing Hackney Ladies 9-2 yesterday in a Women's FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie in East London, reports to follow. The Third Qualifying Round draw should be announced shortly with ties due to be played on Sunday 22 October, it will be interesting to see who the Ladies will meet with a First Round proper place up for grabs.

I don't believe the highlights from the 4-1 win at Aylesbury Dynamos on Tuesday 12 September were posted previously:

No doubt Macron have been sloppy but it seems incredibly late to be signing kit deals in June and july for a season starting on the 1st August. Most clubs even at that level would have it sorted it out during May at latest probably to be ready for August 1st.

LondonEagle - Thanks for your views on this, I don't disagree with you that the order should have been placed a lot earlier however there may be reasons why it wasn't and you do expect an established company to deliver the goods, I assume that Mr McCormack had done his homework on them to check they were reliable and spoken to Club's that they had supplied previously.

Sorry to do a Tommy SteeIe again folks but 'what a picture, what a picture, what a photograph' of Real Bedford Ladies, taken yesterday afternoon before the 9-2 Women's FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie at London & South East Regional Women's League Division One North Hackney Ladies Wadham Lodge base in Walthamstow, East London:

The draw for the Women's FA Cup Third Qualifying Round has just been made and it sees Real Bedford Ladies welcome fellow Eastern Regions Women's League Premier Division Stevenage Ladies to McMullen Park on Sunday 22 October, kick off 2.00pm, when a decent size crowd is expected. This means that the scheduled League fixture that afternoon at Luton Town Ladies is postponed to later in the campaign:

Also lets not forget the Ladies team are in Eastern Region Women´s League Premier Division action again on Sunday (8 October) against Royston Town Ladies who surely must be quaking in their boots at the thought of visiting McMullen Park:

Seems to be more of a buzz around them than the men's team these days

LondonEagle - Is that a little dig again, I don't think that is the case at all, Real Bedford Men have only played eight League games, four less than current leaders St Panteleimon yet are only seven points behind. I know Bedford Town have won all of their six League games so far this season, and well done on that, however they haven't played anyone in the top seven as yet including lowly Biggleswade FC, Hadley, Kidlington, Barton Rovers and Welwyn Garden City, lets see what happens next Tuesday evening against Kings Langley. Anyway good luck this afternoon in the FA Trophy at Matlock Town.

Another very satisfying weekend all round with Real Bedford winning 8-1 against a beleaguered Colney Heath side on Saturday and, then, Real Bedford Ladies beating Royston Town Ladies 4-1 yesterday in their latest Eastern Region Women´s League Premier Division fixture which included a clinical hat trick from Tasha Fensome. The Ladies already top the Premier Division table by 8 points with a 100% record and welcome Kings Lynn Town Ladies to McMullen Park next Sunday (15 October) who lost 14-0 at Haringey Borough Ladies yesterday. Reports from the weekend to follow.

Big weekend for the Bedford sides. Ladies look like a runaway train at the moment and it will be interesting to see if they can make a deep run in the FA cup against higher teams along the way.

Big for MK Irish to drop points against a team currently well down the table to help put Bedford back in the lead by PPG. Huge tilt tomorrow for the men to consolidate that result.

RallyInRaleigh - Did you hear that Biggleswade United have not agreed to the livestream for tomorrow's fixture, very disappointing particularly taking into account who their Chairman is, I assume it was his decision:

Unfortunately, Biggleswade United have rejected our request to stream the game, therefore we can only bring live updates via X for fans who can't attend the game.

Disapointed the match against Biggleswade Utd will not be shown live.

Please correct  me if I am wrong, but are not the Biggleswade Utd matches not shown on Youtube in their entirety several days after the match?

Supremo Rob Sinclair was interviewed on Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show yesterday evening discussing the 8-1 win over Colney Heath on Saturday as well as the exciting SSML Premier Division campaign thus far and the exploits of Joe Evans since his arrival at McMullen Park from Milton Keynes Dons Academy. The interesting interview is 40 minutes into the show, see the link below, Rob also played the 'Guess The Gate' quiz with Ollie and got six out of eight correct which he was disappointed with:
