No problems in the end for Real Bedford Ladies yesterday (Sunday 9 March) although they did make rather hard work of disposing of a dogged Actonians Ladies side who would not go away or lay down until a goal deep into stoppage time from Sofia Stovold sealed their fate. With Norwich City Ladies winning 2-0 at Chatham Town Ladies it is now looking like a two runner race to the FA Women's National League Division One South East Championship with just one point between them however Real Bedford Ladies have two games in hand and a superior goal difference

Both Club's match reports, the match programme and livestream highlights from Real Bedford Ladies narrow 2-1 victory over Actonians Ladies on Sunday:

The Brunch will begin at 11.00am giving three hours before kick off at 2.00pm, buses will be provided from 10.30am to take everyone from Bedford Town Centre to the Ledger Stadium:

Let's get ready to rumble for this evening's Southern League Division One Central fixture at bottom of the table North Leigh

No difficulties for Real Bedford on Tuesday evening in rural Oxfordshire at bottom of the Southern League Division One Central table North Leigh infact, if anything, the 3-0 scoreline was slightly disappointing as it could, and should, have been a cricket score of Ian Botham proportions. See a match report and local press coverage:

Bedford's most unserious football club knocks its magic number down to just 25 points. The back to back to back promotion run is coming. Nothing stops this train.

Anyway it was another excellent win for Rob Sinclair's men on Saturday, 2-0 at Hadley with two goals from, who else, Joey Evans, see local press coverage:

If rhe train is so unstoppable no need for a merger then, is there?

Huge crowd at North Leigh, must have been at least 5 travelling from Bedford.

LondonEagle - That's a bit below the belt isn't it, if you hadn't noticed it was a midweek game about 60 miles away, admittedly Bedford Town's League fixture there last season was also a Tuesday night, and in January, with a decent crowd of 186 but how many of those travelled from the Eyrie as North Leigh were playing better then compared to now.

'Captain fantastic' Gemma Biggadike won, sorry, walked Real Bedford Ladies player of the month for February and deservedly so with a huge 34% of the vote. Gemma joined the Club from Milton Keynes Dons Ladies at the beginning of this 2024/25 season, she was pretty much boss Charlie Bill's first signing from his old Club which says it all and where Gemma had plied her trade for almost three seasons having cut her footballing teeth at Senior level with Watford Ladies:

Good job there is no midweek games and shorter distances in the southern prem league then…

Real Bedford Ladies travel to Ashford Town (Middx) Ladies tomorrow (Sunday 16 March), on paper there shouldn't be any problems with the hosts having won just one FA Women's National League Division One South East fixture all season and have the worst goal difference in the Division. Boss Charlie Bill however will certainly not be taking any chances with Ashford Town (Middx) Ladies results having improved of late with a 2-2 draw at Cambridge United Ladies last Sunday and a narrow 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur Academy in a Middlesex FA Capital Women's Cup Quarter Final tie last month:

Was great to see the presentation on thr pitch involving the two most untrustworthy men in Bedford as well.

LondonEagle - Well 'if a picture paints a thousand words', Bedford Mayor Tom Wootton does seem to have seen the light and come round to Mr McCormack's way of thinking following the bad feeling between them last year:

No difficulties whatsoever for Rob Sinclair's men on Saturday at the Ledger Stadium against lowly Northwood and a comprehensive 5-0 victory with goals from Joey Evans from the spot and a brace each from Josh Setchell and Archie Jones, see local press coverage and Northwood's refreshingly unbiased version of events. Also see an interesting Southern League produced summary of all the matches played on Saturday (15 March), including Real Bedford v Northwood:

Yes, no difficulties then for Real Bedford Ladies yesterday at Ashford Town (Middx) Ladies in their latest FA Women's National League Division One South East fixture with two late goals from Amber Gaylor and Abbie Bensted despite being in control pretty much all afternoon, see a match report. With Norwich City Ladies not in League action yesterday Real Bedford Ladies extended their lead at the top of the table to four points with just four League fixtures remaining:

You're not seeing things folks and it's not April 1st yet either, don't all rush at once for the handful of tickets remaining for the CheatCode Conference and it's likely the Southern League Division One Central fixture at the Ledger Stadium with Kings Langley on Saturday 12 April will be a sell out too or possibly made all ticket:

Peter McCormack - I’m pleased to announce that Real Bedford co-owners Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss will be visiting Bedford to speak at the Cheat Code Conference and support the team at our upcoming match against Kings Langley, I'm so grateful for their support. Tickets - cheatcode.co.uk/tickets
