An opportunity to start a thread on Tring Corinthians AFC with these photographs from a 2016/17 SSML Division Two fixture at home to Loughton Manor, at Icknield Way on Saturday 1 May 2017. Tring Corinthians FC, as they were know then, won 2-1 to end the campaign in a lowly 15th place behind runaway Champions Thame Rangers:

YouTube action from a pre-season friendly between Sun Sports Reserves and Tring Corinthians FC Reserves on Saturday 22 August 2015 which ended in a 1-1 stalemate after Tring Corinthians had taken the lead, not sure where it was played. Nobby King had just taken the reins of the Reserve side shortly after the excellent Colin Phillips had been appointed First Team supremo for the 2015/16 campaign:

Photographs from a pre 2015/16 season friendly fixture between Tring Corinthians and Aylesbury FC Development on Saturday 18 July 2015 resulting in a 1-1 stalemate, not sure where the game took place as it doesn't look like Icknield Way, also I haven't seen ice lollies at half time before, zooms to be exact:

I see that, worryingly, there has been a steep increase in Covid-19 cases in the Tring and Berkhamsted areas this week, I wonder whether this will have an affect on Tring Corinthians AFC's games on Saturday (29 August), their First Team play Herts Senior County League Division Two Bedmond Sports FC at 11.30am and the Development Team meet Kings Sports at 3.00pm, both at Icknield Way:

https://www.hemeltoday.co.uk/health/coronavirus/coronavirus-rise-confirmed-cases-tring-and-berkhamsted-2951528

The public health chief for Hertfordshire County Council is reminding residents to follow the Government guidelines around social distancing following a rise in the number of cases in Dacorum.

Over the weekend Dacorum recorded 14 new cases, there are now 578 confirmed cases in the borough, a rate of 373.5 per 100,000 - according to Public Health England.

There has been a small number of positive cases in Tring and Berkhamsted, particularly among young people.

Cllr Tim Hutchings, executive member for Public Health said: “We can confirm there is currently a small number of positive COVID-19 cases in the Tring and Berkhamsted area, primarily amongst young people (17-19yrs old).

Contact tracing has begun and early indications is that transmission is likely to have taken place in a number of social gatherings. Although this number may yet spread further over the next few days, it is contained within this locality and age group.

We want to take this opportunity to remind particularly young people to stick to the rules regarding social distancing and the number of people you meet from outside your household. If you think that you may have been exposed to COVID-19 or are feeling unwell, you should speak to an adult or call 119 or visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus for more information.”

An interesting Sports Shots interview with Tring Corinthians AFC joint supremo's Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley ahead of tomorrow's pre-season friendly with Bedmond Sports at Icknield Way as well as the new campaign, it could well be a very good season for the Club who haven't tasted any success since the excellent Colin Phillips was at the helm some years ago:

Over 200 photographs, courtesy of Sports Shots, from the pre-season friendly at Icknield Way between Tring Corinthians AFC and Bedmond Sports FC on Saturday (29 August) resulting in a narrow 1-0 win for Tring Corinthians AFC, Martin Griggs netted on 68 minutes. It would appear that joint supremo's Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley are well on track for the start of the new SSML Division Two campaign when they host new boys Berkhamsted Comrades on Saturday 19 September before, coincidentally, welcoming Berkhamsted Raiders to Icknield Way the following Saturday:

No news on the fixtures as yet for Tring Corinthians AFC Development's forthcoming Aylesbury & District League Division One campaign, I see that there are four fewer Club's in the Division than last season with Quainton, Ludgershall United, Wendover Reserves, Oving, Rivets FC Reserves and AW FC all leaving and Holmer Green Old Boys and Rivets FC First joining. The Aylesbury & District League are still looking to begin on Saturday 3 October with sadly no cup competitions planned:

Tring Corinthians AFC Development will begin their Aylesbury & District League Division One campaign this coming Saturday (3 October) when they entertain Wingrave at Icknield Way, kick off 2.30pm, that is followed by a trip to FC Titans the following week (10 October) who ply their trade in the leafy hamlet of Loudwater near to High Wycombe. The First team meanwhile are already two games into their SSML Division Two season and narrowly beat Berkhamsted Comrades 2-1 at Icknield Way on 19 September with a brace from Harry Bennett and an 89th minute winning goal to break the new boys hearts. Last Saturday (26 September) Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley's men were at home again, coincidentally to Berkhamsted Raiders, and a 2-2 stalemate was perhaps a fair result (see match report), Harry Bennett and Toby Bennett (no relation) both netted. Next Saturday (3 October) Tring Corinthians AFC travel to Mursley United who were on the wrong end of a 7-1 defeat to Sarratt at the King George V Playing Fields on Saturday so Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley will possibly be looking to go for the jugular early on at Station Road:

Tring Corinthians AFC Development managed to get their Aylesbury & District League Division One campaign under way this afternoon despite the weather conditions and beat Wingrave 5-1 at Icknield Way, it was one of only three fixtures that took place in the Division, next Saturday sees a trip to FC Titans who didn't play today. Meanwhile the First team lost 2-1 at Mursley United with Matthew Hatt getting the goal, substitute Dylan Langley saw red which won't have pleased bosses Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley as with the interval score 2-1 a level playing field may well have seen their side earn a point. Next Saturday sees Old Bradwell United visit Icknield Way where, surprisingly, they were beaten 4-0 by a rampant Tring Corinthians last season on 28 December, one of only two league defeats before the early curtailment of the campaign.

Tring Corinthians AFC Development sit in second spot in the Aylesbury & District League Division One table after a good start to the campaign with two wins and a draw, last Saturday saw a 3-1 win at FC Titans with goals from Ryan Curtis, Connor Hearn and Josh Sawyer and yesterday they should really have beaten a dogged Rivets FC side at Icknield Way, drawing 2-2 with goals from Gabriel Mititelu and Connor Hearn (see photographs). Meanwhile the First team put in a superb display last week to draw 2-2 with 'the mighty' Old Bradwell United at Icknield Way with goals from Matthew Hatt and Ben Jenkins (see match report), however yesterday Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley's men went down 3-1 at Totternhoe who had not played a competitive fixture for three weeks with Darrien Garcia equalising just before the interval, (see match preview and interview with Jamie Roberts). There now follows two away fixtures, at New Bradwell St Peter next Saturday (24 October) followed by a trip to the Sir Herbert Leon Academy to take on MK Gallacticos a week later:

Tring Corinthians AFC suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat at New Bradwell St Peter on Saturday (see match report) which won't have pleased Jamie Roberts and Andy Hockley after their men had managed to get back into the game by somehow pulling a goal back on the stroke of half time through Toby Bennett after the hosts had just made it 2-0 on the 44 minute mark. Any hope of a point however, or even the possibility of three, evaporated on 68 minutes when some slack defending allowed New Bradwell St Peter to make it 3-1. The Development side were involved in a pulsating 4-4 draw at Icknield Way against FC Bierton in a Aylesbury & District League Division One fixture with Liam Burnett scoring all four goals, despite this and the 2-2 home draw against Rivets FC last week Martin Hearn's men remain second in the table with another home fixture to come next Saturday (31 October) against Aylesbury Raiders whist the First team go to MK Gallacticos:
