Interview with Ryan Bird

I watched this interview and thought it was really good. One of the better ones. Couldn't believe it when Ryan said nobody had shown him how to hold the ball up. Was he on a wind up/piss take? I wasn't sure whether he was joking or serious. What an admission, if true.

Got to say I warmed to his manner/character/persona, and while it hasn't worked out fully as him as a striker, Slough have gained a good defender and more importantly someone who has thrived playing for Bakes and Unders and with this set of players. Certainly worth keeping whatever division we go in, after the play offs.

He came across a nice, sincere and humble person.

Have to say I was a bit gobsmacked by that admission as well.
