Streamed play-off games

I have bt sport with my EE mobile package that I mirror to tv so will be disappointed if I can not cast to tv.

I think we all agree that putting this on any tv channel would be the ideal solution. I just can’t believe only people with a Chromecast will be able to watch it, that really would be shooting all your limbs off not just your foot!

Make sure you put your face mask on your cardboard cut out to give it an air of authenticity, and dont forget to get down on one knee and grovel.

I'm no expert but I'm not sure you'll be able to cast to the TV from your phone using the usual methods. I think it's either mobile/laptop, and then if you want watch on your telly you will either need a laptop connected with a HDMI cable or a Chromecast dongle. I have a feeling it will work with an Amazon firestick but you may need to research that route if you have one. 

I am watching Brighton v Southampton bt sports on my mobile mirrored to and watching on my tv at the same time I.m sure play off games you will be able see like this as long as you have smart mobile and smart tv. Will not be happy if you can.t.

I don't know what to tell you mate other than draw your attention to this sentence from the release today.

Viewers will be able to access the streaming platform via web, mobile devices and tablets, in addition to connected TVs via Chromecast.

Last two words are key, but as I said, I think you could also connect via a laptop/HDMI cable.

Hope you get to watch it the way you want in the end.

The games isn't being broadcast live on BT Sport, so no, you can't stream the game using your BT Sport app.

I sent a tweet to the NL and they’ve confirmed below that anyone with a smart tv can watch it via the in built web browser. Great news (just hope it does actually work!) and saves buying a Chromecast or cable.

That's good news Glen. I would imagine the same would apply to some games consoles who have web browsers built in too I believe.

Yes you would hope so. Just hope this works as it’ll be ideal as this ‘platform’ is likely to be used again.

I have mirrored pic to tv no problem as I described above so I am sure that when I press live on sunday it will work as you mentioned before I would of been handy if they added a trail clip for us non techs to set up.

Difficult I know but the rules on shouting and making too much noise are there for a reason.

If these rules are flouted how would pubs feel if as a consequence there is a spike in the virus and they had to close down again?

Not prohibited, but Ade will be otherwise engaged doing the commentary for the live stream, so there will be no Rebels Radio.
