littlehampton
Quote Evening all, seems a long, long time since our last match, and a lot has happened since in these unpredictable, unprecedented times. Whilst there hasn't been any action on the pitch, there has been plenty off the field, and our Board members and Football management team have been working hard to ensure we are in the best possible shape for the re-start, whenever that may be. Knowing how tight money is for most non-league clubs at our level, it is very encouraging that our Club has embarked upon this major fund-raising initiative, and it is a great opportunity for all us Towners, local and otherwise, to contribute as much as we can afford, to show how much our Club means to us, and help finance all the improvements being planned at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. littlehampton
A bit more news for everyone on the subject of ground improvement fundraising. Two clubs in our league, down in this neck of the woods, on the south coast, Worthing and Bognor, set themselves ambitious fundraising projects recently, hoping to generate substantial much needed income for their respective clubs. Premier Division pace-setters last season Worthing launched their project a month ago, and were initially hoping to raise twenty thousand pounds. That target was quickly smashed and revised, and the Mackerel Men have gone on to impressively achieve no less than forty three thousand pounds. Wow, congratulations and very well done to them. That is some achievement ! The cash raised, along with ninety-six thousand pounds from The Premier League Football Stadia Improvement Fund, plus another eleven thousand from a generous corporate donor, will allow Worthing to replace their floodlights, and revamp the North East corner of the ground with New food provision, plus a new toilet block, a new bar, and modernised turn-stiles. Bognor have also launched a crowdfunding appeal, and The Rocks are aiming to raise thirty thousand pounds to help finance ground improvements at Nyewood Lane. Two ambitious targets, as many clubs, like our own, seek financial help from their supporters, and the local community, as they continue to navigate their way through the coronavirus crisis, which has put many clubs and businesses at a competitive disadvantage, and had a terrible impact on society as a whole. With everyone's help and support, Town will achieve / exceed the ten thousand pounds target set, which is urgently needed for the running, up keep, and progression of our club next season. Let's make it happen !! COYT
littlehampton
FUND-RAISING UPDATE It is a little while now since Seaside Towner posted this topic, so in case anyone is not aware of progress, show on the ETFC official website, I thought it might help if I provided an update, to confirm what has been achieved to date, as at this point of time. So far 103 Town supporters, from home and overseas, have contributed £4,800 which represents 48%of our £10,000 target The deadline to pledge a donation, and help our Club to raise much needed funds for scheduled Floodlights and Ground Improvements is the 21st July 2020, which is only 35 days away. Don't leave it until the last minute if you plan to be involved. Your support is vital. Please give generously, what you can afford, to help this very worthy cause. Let's show the Enfield public, business community, and other clubs in our League, how much we care, and how proud we are proud of being the first Supporters owned club in the Country. littlehampton
Evening All. As most Towners will be aware, many non-league clubs are having a difficult time, due to the pandemic, and quite a number of clubs in our league have embarked upon crowd-fundraising activity, to generate much needed revenue, with some very interesting results. Our own 'Shine A Light For Enfield Town Football Club' fund-raising appeal which was launched fairly recently, and runs through until the 21st July, has now raised £6,113.00 of our £10,000 target. That is great progress, and with 31-days left, there is a very good chance we will exceed our target. So far, 124 Town supporters have donated to this important fund-raising appeal, and it is very much hoped others will follow. Taking a look at other clubs fund-raising results in our league, Bognor, Corinthian Casuals, and Wingate & Finchley have all hit their fund-raising revenue targets. The Rocks have generated an incredible £30K, Casuals (Target £10K) have raised £11,528, whilst 'The Blues' , who launched their Appeal just a fortnight ago, have achieved £10,358 to date. Lewes today became the latest club to start a crowd-funding appeal. The Rooks are looking to raise at least £34K which, if successful, will trigger another £40K in grants. Shows what can be done! Let's all dig deep for the Town !!
littlehampton
PROGRESS UPDATE …….AND IT'S LOOKING GOOD !!!! Hi everyone, few days on from the last update and we are continuing to make steady progress towards our £10,000 target. Another £1200 has been donated by Town supporters since Friday, which lifts the total contributed to date to £7323, which means that with exactly four weeks remaining to the 21st July deadline, we need another £2677 to hit target. That is certainly well within our grasp, and with everyone's support we will exceed that figure, and go on to provide our club with a much needed financial boost before the new season. By the way, brilliant to note that much loved and respected Enfield FC legend Alf D'Arcy has just added his contribution to our fund-raising appeal. How about you? It has been a bit quiet on this forum of late. Not sure if anyone actually reads this, but It would be good to hear other Towners thoughts on this very important fund-raising initiative for our club. old towner
Littlehampton I think it shows just how a fans owned club is run with EVERYONE putting in to the club and helping what ever way they can , it would be nice if businesses in the town area could help out that don't already . The local paper could run an article on this ???

The local paper could run an article on this ??? Couldn't agree more OT. We have some brilliant supporters who help our club in many different ways, and its great to see our fans generously contributing to the fund-raising appeal. Many local businesses have been badly hit by the shutdown, but you are absolutely right, if we can get the local free press to run a story about our club, what we are doing for the local community, and the effort being made to generate much needed extra funding, etc it might just strike a cord with local businesses and the general public. Fingers crossed! Anymore helpful thoughts, suggestions, ideas on this topic guys?

djwilf
Yes seems with the big gap in non league that has led to people having little to say. On another note. Great to see Josh sign a new contract at Charlton. Very good news.

littlehampton
Yes, that is good news and very encouraging progress OT. With 23-days still left before deadline, there is still plenty of time for others to join the 156 Town supporters who have already generously donated to the appeal. We need to raise another £2K to hit target. Every little helps. Please contribute what you can afford to this worthy cause. Just to remind everyone, the Crowd-funder page link is here: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/shine-a-light-for-enfield-town-fc All donations welcome. Thanks folk !!
