Does anybody know of any further update on Steve Jones? Will he be back this season or is he still badly injured?

steve has had some cortisone treatment to his back and it seems to have worked....

 

he's back in training next week I understand...he reckons he'll play in two weeks.....

Back in training next week. To get Steve back before the end of the season would be a massive boost.

Thats great news. Hope he doesn't rush it though.

He is exactly what we need at the moment. An out and out goalscorer.

Yes, he's got an extension to build in the summer, and needs help lugging in the cement.

But seriously, I hope the injection works for Steve. I've had 15 of the blighters and none of them worked for me. Of course, my problem may be different to Jones's. No two spinal conditions are entirely the same, so I've been told.

But I have had 3 conflicting opinions regarding "root nerve blocks" and "facet joint injections" from Consultants.

1: A patient can expect to receive no more than 2 months relief.

2: They only bring relief for about 2 weeks.

3: They are more used for diagnostic purposes than therapeutic.

Make of that what you will. I only hope that he's not on the NHS [blinding nursing staff, generally helpful doctors, crap funding as we all know!]
