Seem to remember that Steve Daly’s arrival came after a few defeats and then coincided with a run of 4 or 5 wins in a row without conceding a goal.

Temporary manager before Roberts?

After leaving us Lee Randall spent 10 years at Gloucester City and is now head coach at Fairford Town.

On the Slough website in the player database it has Lee Randall down as a striker. I thought he played more often on the right of midfield.

I don't remember him being temporary manager but I remember him being a useful attack minded player. Mind you we were blessed with very good players in most positions, when he was at the club.

Lee Randall is down on the records as a striker but only 2 goals in 23 appearances.

Looking at some of the games, Randall was up against strikers in the vain of Abbott, West, Brazil, Bolt and Owusu and seems to have bee shifted around sometimes playing in midfield and even in defense.

Sorry I meant the last of the squad that stayed on from conference days. Seem to remember his name being in the press release at the time but he didn’t play after the summer so I may well be wrong.

Current additions from this week. This now takes us up to 433 reports added to the site over the past few weeks. Starting to run a bit thinner on material now though so won't be too many more to add, but have plenty of Wycombe and Maidenhead reports to add dating back to the early 1900's. Will be paying a few visits to Slough Library once we've returned to a more normal way of life to collect some further reports from the local press so we can continue to add to the archives. Interesting to come across the 98/99 season that Jimmy Bullard (now of Soccer AM fame, but made it as a pro) scoring against us not long after we'd beaten Bruce Grobelaar's Chesham team.

Gary, if that is Ted McMinn in the photo, which I think it is, it must be the kit from 1996/7  because he only played for us for 9 games in that season.  

A bit odd because some of those players in the photo only played for us in season 1997/8.
