On this day in 2019 Slough were at Woking,

Here's a few of my photos from that match.

The next one will be tomorrow, where there are 4 matching years.

Woking v SLOUGH TOWN was played on Saturday 23rd. March 2019.

Yep. That is what I said, on 23rd.

Sorry for that Gary.
I did not notice the match on the forum until 28th. March. I had just received an email from a Hayes & Yeading United season ticket-holder so was feeling excited and wanted to reply to him about your post!!!

Now I realise what happened, Gary.

Monday 23rd. March was the first match on your "On This Day" thread and it was the day that I travelled back from Manchester.

I always intend to click on the latest page when I open a thread but on Saturday 28th. March I managed to open your "On This Day" thread on the first page which began with the Woking match. I didn't realise that it was a four days old and having just received an email from my Hayes & Yeading United season ticket holder ex-work colleague, I was eager to refer him to Patrick Amartey's goal in a bid match at the next step up before 2,543.

Strangely enough, my ex-work colleague was confused by my email because he overlooked that 2019 was last year!

Is that Francis Amartey's brother and is he any good?  ?

Sorry about that error RR! My excuse is not my age but that the match was played six days after St.Patrick's Day!!!

I will probably keep quiet now until the end of this season and the start of next season are resolved at all levels. After all, one hundred non-league clubs have now written to The FA calling for it to "urgently" reconsider the decision to expunge
their seasons.

Award each club a point for each unplayed match and reschedule the play-offs is my opinion.

There's three albums for 2nd April.

The first is from 2011, and another Burnham v Slough

02-04-11 Burnham v Slough Town

Apart from Lee Togwell some familiar names in the Burnham line up:

Craig O'connor, Adrian Sear, Jake Parsons, Ryan Bird and on the bench Ben Gladwin who went on to play in the football league.

As you say at that time Burnham did have some good players.

Apart from various chairmen putting some money in I suppose Burnham were relying on their overly expensive conference facilities to cover players wages which unfortunately for them failed miserably.

A real shame that we didn't have Adrian Sear when he was at his best because he was some player.

If memory serves me right we lined up against Chippenham with Warren Harris at right back, Fraser at centre back with Tom Williams (making one of his only appearances for us) and Jhai Dhillon at left back. Seany was MOTM and we snuck a 1-0 win!!!
