Right - long time since I have been on here and still full of fools who dont turn up to games but want to spout rubbish about incidents they know nothing about!

I was at the game.

Was a bit surprised to see Jack taking the penalty, but having seen him put the one away against MK Dons in the week, which was the best taken of the evening, I can see why he steped up.

There was a risk - but how many times has a penalty rebounded and the other side scored from it - pleanty - that did not happen on Saturday!

As for the f*ckwits who have turned up for the last few games - well they are not Slough Town supporters and need kicking out - so whichever morons mates they are tell them to f*ck off and you can join them.

Any genuine fan knows what Neil and John have done for this club and their honesty about when things go wrong is one of their true strengths - the abuse is well out of order.

Now gutted that the season has ended early when we are in a playoff position - but that was what the target was, so this has been a succsessful season - anyone who thinks otherwise does not know what STFC is about.

sorry the fact he didn't score is why this is been discussed, and on your 2nd point you are spot on and I'm sure the management team would be livid to concede a goal when we had a corner so why is this any different? One of the first things you do when having an attacking set piece is to make sure your defensively set up and in my opinion when a goalkeeper takes a penalty you are not defensively set up as well as you could.

I'm looking at the negative and discussing the negative as in my opinion there is no positive in the penalty incident and what followed after if you can provided a positive outlook on that incident then I'm open to listen.

 Positive..........WE DIDN'T CONCEDE.

So your argument doesn't stand up.

TBF Clive and I'm only talking about the Weymouth game, you didn't have to be at the game to have an opinion and discuss the pros and cons of a keeper taking and missing a penalty.

It might well happen but the season hasn't officially ended yet.

WELL Yes.

If you want to talk about Keepers taking pens OK,,,,,, But if you want to talk about Jack taking the pen then YES you would of had to be there.

No difference.

Apart from a name it could be any keeper.

Agree with you, RR. Can't see the rationale, as to why you can't talk about Jack taking a penalty, whether you were at the game or not. To me it is a talking point, perfect for the Slough Town fans forum, which has the purpose, to discuss all football matters relating to Slough Town. It is not like we are discussing how he took the penalty at the game.

Just because a few fans don't like discussing it, is irrelevant. This forum needs open debate and shouldn't be one sided.

To be honest I have no qualms with Jack Turner taking a penalty per se, as our managers decide such things but to me I would limited his use to penalty shoot outs in cup matches etc, rather than use him in open play, as I just can't see the logic of him leaving his goal mouth unattended, or that we can't muster an outfield player to take a penalty.
