Anyone heard anything about possible suspension of games at this level I understand the Nat League is meeting today

The decision on Premiership and EFL games includes players out on loan  Weymouth have 4 from Bournemouth   Interesting times

A lot of other non leagues have suspended so I wouldn’t be surprised if the 3 National leagues followed suit. The experts are saying this virus won’t peak until June meaning are these backlogged games actually going to have time to finish or do we just void this season?

Actually at our level the fans can easily self isolate on a Terrance. It is the players that are more at risk in a sweaty changing room then up close and personal with the opposition for 90 mins

I hope he doesnt mind  !

The advised distance between people to lower the risk of cross  contamination, is I believe, 2 mts.

Agree Stan  There is talk of playing games in open air and closing bars and eateries.

Whilst I appreciate that the corona virus threat has to be treated seriously, I was also pleased that the Northern Premier League allowed today's matches to take place as I begin my FCUoM Triple football tour at Mariners Park for South Shields v FCUoM. The league board are reviewing future matches on Monday so the matches at Broadhurst Park against Whitby Town on Tuesday and Stalybridge Celtic next Saturday might not take place during my stay in Manchester. It would be really disappointing if I had to spend St.Patrick's night drinking instead of going to football!

I doubt it'll be the final decision we hear on this. If the papers are to be believed big gatherings are likely to be banned in the coming week, which probably forces the National League and certain others into suspension.

Personally I think the NL should've followed the lead of the PL and EFL yesterday.

Premiership and EFL games have been suspended mainly to free up the emergency services and not to stop the corona virus from spreading.

As has been stated many times before you are more likely to catch the virus down the pub or on a bus.

That's a dangerously casual attitude to have RR, showing no consideration for those who are at risk, which includes a reasonable proportion of our fanbase.

Take our game as an example, we have 35 people on a bus travelling 3 hours each way. When we get there I imagine a lot of people will be in the bar. That covers your two examples. From there any close contact could spread it further.

The National League are playing a dangerous game, and it's not helped by people just dismissing the issue. Fortunately it looks like the decision will be taken out of their hands. It doesn't seem to have gone down well with some of the players, managers and chairmen of the leagues, Paul Hodges for example.

Do you include the Government and their experts in your 'dangerous and casual' attitude statement?

If the Government ban large gatherings then they have to do the job properly and ban any indoor/inside gatherings large or small.

RR is that why you are not on the bus
