V Hungerford 7th March H

Imo we should play this game as if Hungerford  were also chasing a playoff place  As long as staying up is possible they will fight tooth and nail  for every point  and we must not be complacent about their situation   When we played Billericay back in October both teams were unbeaten in 9 league games Our excellent victory that day was followed by an unexpected defeat by a struggling Oxford City side

Nothing is a given COYR.

Just sticking as always to the facts

Hungerford last 5  W2D1L2  7pts

Slough last 5          W2D2L1  8pts

I gave exactly the same caution  in the pre match thread for the Oxford away game !

well was that not a lack luster performance today we were beaten to almost every ball , hungerford just showed more hunger whenever we had the ball the moment we had it there were two or three players surrounding us.yes the officials did make a few questionable decisions but today i don't think we could have bought a goal. what a difference from last week.?

2nd best for most of the game I think that was our poorest performance of the season.

Hungerford's first goal was poorly defended when again a simple ball down the middle was not dealt with by our two central defenders leaving Jack Turner exposed.

Didn't see their second goal but apparently it came following a free header from a corner.

Some credit must go to Hungerford but on the day we had far too many players who were way below their best.

That was the poorest I’ve seen us play under the current gafffers imo (btw I am a big fan of bakes and unders, so won’t have a word said).

second best all over the pitch, never looked liked scoring at 0-0, 0-1, 0-2.

hungerford came out of the stalls blazing, which set set the tone for the game.

we looked lethargic all over the pitch. They looked one step ahead. Front men looked dangerous constantly.

another good crowd of nearly 900 turn up, hope the day trippers are not put off, just one of those days at the office.

I suppose both Bath and Weymouth both losing 2 points today helped us a little We are still on course to finish 3rd (I believe 2nd is gone) We must turn up and play the quality football we have seen most of the season.

All things considered I think yesterdays attendance of 885 was pretty good.

Disagree. We want to be pushing 1000 every game until the end of the season regardless of the opposition.
