Love the home kit that season we won it.

i remember being on the pitch at full time.

I am sure the hooped conference kit was the first season we (as fans) were able to buy a replica shirt?

also, Looking back at the pics, I didn’t realise we released the hooped kit before the season had finished.

loving the paper clippings

was It our championship season Tommy Langley played for us?

Tommy Langley played for us from 89/91.

I will probably get in trouble with the club for this but we did look at hoops for the new kit but it just wasn't quite right, too many hoops made it look like a rugby shirt (which I'm sure 3spirit would have liked).

I would love to see us in something like that again in the not too distant future.

Funny enough Mark, at the time when the hoops on the shirt came out, I wasn't mightily impressed with how the shirt looked but now looking back after all these years, they do look good, or perhaps it's just the case, as the song goes, of 'misty water - coloured memories of the way we were' !

One thing I've never waivered about, is how good the amber and dark blue colours look together, and to me that kit colour is synonymous with Slough Town FC and long may that continue.

Perhaps next season [if we are all still here, gulp!] whether a reunion of sorts of that championship winning squad, could be arranged for a Slough home game, like what was done for the successful Slough schoolboy team. It's not like we've won loads of titles and there's still a good few fans around that appreciate that team. I wouldn't mind helping in any way, if that were to happen.

Just think, in another 20 or 30 years [hopefully] they're be doing something like that for Bakes and Unders and some of our currently crop but I doubt I and many others will be here to see it !

Is that Joe Maloney the STFC centre half bottom right?

Mark Hunter in the hooped shirt?

How many other members of this forum can see themselves on this picture?

I can't because I was more over to the side opposite the main stand, in the corner with other Rebel fans. I remember Jelly but never knew his real name.

I wonder if Warren [Brighton Rebel] knows many of the faces, as he was like the celebrity in our crowd back then[well he was to me, being that I was a punk rocker in my youth] ,as you could usually spot him a mile away by his variously coloured hair, more often than not dyed bright yellow, and where Jelly was, Warren seemed to be.

Loving the Hoops!

I never took to the hoops. Its like Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool going to hoops or Arsenal going with red all over including the sleeves or Newcastle getting rid of the barcodes...

The kit I loved the most and think it was my first season following Slough was the one that is on epicrebels profile. It has no badge, but maybe because it was my first season following Slough that it is close to my heart.
