HT : Dorking Wanderers  2  SLOUGH TOW 1

On twitter it reads as though it is the most exciting Rebels match of the season.

HT : Weymouth  3  Maidstone United  0

In his Friday interview yesterday, quotes from John Still :-

"We need to put in a good performance tomorrow in order to get a positive result."

"That's a lesson that we need to learn very quickly - winning is important."

"We really do need the results to turn now."

Many congratulations to Dan Roberts Hat-tricks dont come easy at this level especially away from home!  Obviously I'm very pleased at the result especially since Wealdstone failed to score again and dropped another 2 points  I thought we would do well as I said pre match with Dorking struggling recently and with the poorest defence amongst the play-off wannabes but when we went down to 10 I was concerned but this is the type of setback that unites every member of this team/ squad and produces an exceptional team effort Only 9 more wins to go?

I said to a supporter in the first half that Steve Bateman in his time with us had very good players but what always let him down on occasions was they played as individuals.

But Bakes@Unders teams are so bonded always play as team win lose or draw from Jack to Alex the  physio that is what has given the club and us as supporters great success over the years. Brilliant come back from all well done Dan on your hat trick especially after missing chance early on.

Wow where to start! Great strike by Dan for our first, his second was obviously very fortunate goalie error and a lovely header for his hat trick. Plus 2 other well placed headers for our 4th and 5th although again you could question the goalie. Dorking as they should be with their squad are a good side especially up front (typical Briggs couldn’t have played that well when he trialled with us!) so to not only win away but a player less just makes that a sweet victory and an important one that puts us back 2nd. Must have been 150-200 Slough fans there too all in great voice just a shame one end was closed and covering was at a premium!

Rebels had not scored more than three goals in a National League South match this season and then they score four in a half at a play-off pretenders' ground!!!

Congratulations to all on this sensational result and the splendid turn out. I wasn't feeling up to much today and stayed at home all day.

Didn't think it would be a 0-0 today but I never expected a 3-5 win, and with only ten men !  Fantastic result. Well done all.

Also congratulations to one of my favourite Slough players Guy Hollis for chalking up 250 appearances today. No mean feat in this day and age, and on merit well deserved.

Interview now on Dorking website with a visibly distressed Marc White  Lots of praise for ourselves and Neil/Jon  very displeased with his sides performances and one or two strongly criticised  If Glen or another computer savvy member would like to put it on this forum

As you say 3Spirit what an outstanding player Guy has been for us as you know the group of us who stand together  nicknamed the earth remover and his buddy Wazza on the score sheet again and the headed goal from Ben was outstanding what power and precision from far out.

I had just listened to the interview before I logged into this forum.

If your players are underperforming and making mistakes, the dressing room and the training ground are the places to try and rectify those matters. Slagging them off in public is unprofessional and not good for dressing room morale. Their goalkeeper
Slavomir Huk was slagged off in public on a scale I can't recall from any manager before.

Two clubs in a week we have played where their manager expresses in public disappointment with some of his club's supporters. There are always some car-driving supporters who like to make their exit  before the end to get away more quickly. Does he really think there is such a thing as a club where home supporters do not leave before the end when their team looks like losing. Many Sunderland supporters go home after an hour at the most when their team is playing badly and look like losing!!!

Every now and then a game comes along that defies belief leaving you gobsmacked and today's game was certainly one of those.

Down to 10 men and with our backs against the wall our performance and the result typifies the character and never-say-die attitude we have within our squad.

Absolutely fantastic stuff from the Rebels!!!

Maidstone United goalkeeper Chris Lewington saved a penalty in each half to help keep the score down!

SG  Dont know if you know but Weymouth benefited from an own goal and 3 penalties in this game! and they could afford to miss 2 of the penalties whilst trouncing a team who were playing 2 levels higher last season!

SG  Snap just posted more or less same item

As you can guess Maidstone social media in meltdown over their plight

And only 8 points off the relegation zone  ?

Yes RR  Several members of their forum are demanding that there should be no more talk about the playoffs  only about how to avoid the drop!

Marc White win or lose gives it both barrels's and speaks his mind in his post match interviews.

I'm sure their keeper Huk is big enough to take it on the chin.

And demanding they get the sack.
