FANS FORUM this THURSDAY

The 2 recent cup runs generated around £200k but that money no doubt is being held back for emergencies and any possible ground improvements if and when required. Obviously the club would prefer not to use those funds to progress hence why bigger crowds, increased sponsorship and a call for new board members are the way forward.

I am very pleased to read that Mark Bailey and Adrian Gomm have joined the Steering Committee.
The Fans Forum was so well conducted and each person on the panel showed their ability and their genuine commitment and contribution to the club.

Yes excellent news The existing four members of the Steering Committee are also the board of directors of the company which owns and runs the Rebels  Is this the intention for Mark and Adrian??

Not sure if the above statement is correct, has a new company been set up to take over from Thames Valley Sporting And Leisure Ltd then?

Is there a reason why these guys are collectively a ‘steering group’ and not a board of directors like the majority of clubs have?

From my limited understanding on the subject the steering group is there to research and make recommendation for all stakeholders of the entity. I.e. They are working in the best interests of the Supporters, Players, Community etc to try and source what is being discussed as the benefactor.

To elaborate, I see this as two fold, so we want someone who will bring in the funds but only someone who has the best interests of the local community and the club in mind.

A board of directors will ultimately be longer term and have an owning of the asset.

Again, I have limited knowledge on this so tapping into a degree that was done over 10 years ago :D

,GlenSTFC: No it does not necessarily follow that each owns 25%. For example, person A could own 10 shares, person B could own 5 shares , person C 2 shares, person D 1 share

in the LTD company.

True but in this case it is according to companies house.

I was pleased this afternoon to at last find out the legal status of Slough Town FC.

To clarify some of the above posts, Orchard Community Sports Ltd. is "a private company limited by guarantee without share capital". The four directors are as stated.

I assume that "Slough Town FC" is the trading name of Orchard Community Sports Ltd.
