Sadly Stotfold supremo Luke Gregson will be leaving the New Roker Park at the end of this campaign although in all intents and purposes it is already over, Club Chairman Phil Pateman's statement says it all:

An excellent 5-3 win for Stotfold Development at Wilstead Reserves on Saturday (26 September) in the First Round of the Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Challenge Cup and they now travel to Stopsley United in the Second Round of the competition on 24 October, Kade Bagge bagged a hat trick at Wilstead Reserves Jubilee Playing Field, no pun intended

It is understood that the Bedfordshire FA Intermediate Challenge Cup competition, for Bedfordshire County League Club's at Division One level, will proceed next month (see link). Unfortunately however, after defeating fellow Division One 'A' Wilstead Reserves 5-3 in a First Round tie Stotfold Development fell heavily to Division One 'B' Stopsley United, 6-1 at their Stockwood Park base on Saturday 24 October, Khaled Baroud scored the consolation goal:

Brett Donnelly has this week been appointed to step into Luke Gregson's shoes at the New Roker Park, he will take the reins at the end of this season after the SSML Spring Cup competition takes place which Stotfold decided against entering, infact the Club appear to be real 'party poopers' as the Development side have also chosen not to enter the Bedfordshire County League supplementary cup competition. Coming back to new boss Brett Donnelly, he is a 'local boy made good' and has briefly plied his trade with Stotfold previously under his Father Ian who was Manager, other Club's include Barton Rovers, Potton United, Arlesey Town, Enfield Town, Mangotsfield United, Biggleswade Town, Codicote and Hitchin Town, at the Carlsberg Stadium he was instrumental in helping Biggleswade Town to promotion from the Southern League Division One Central through the play offs in 2012/13. This will be Brett's first Managerial appointment although he has coached previously at Biggleswade Town and with Hitchin Town:

A Club press release welcoming Brett Donnelly to the fold, no pun intended, there will be interesting times ahead at the New Roker Park with Brett at the helm:

Various press articles about Brett Donnelly's exciting appointment at the New Roker Park, who heard Brett on Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show last Sunday, it was a great listen. It's a shame Stotfold didn't enter the Gladwish SSML Spring Cup, I wonder why not as they are now scrabbling around for friendly fixtures:

Stotfold remain in the SSML following the restructuring of the National League System at Steps 4-6 level, the Club will be desperate to return to the top flight next season and will hopefully do so under new boss Brett Donnelly:

Not sure what happened to the Club's press release following the exciting appointment of Brett Donnelly, you can tell it was eloquently penned by Patemondo from the Forum:

I see that Brett Donnelly turned out for Middlesex Wanderers Veterans AFC in a Middlesex FA Veterans Cup Semi Final against West London Oldstars Veterans, at Brunel University Sports Park on Sunday 23 May, here are over 250 photographs and, surprise surprise, in one of them Brett is receiving a stern talking to from the Referee. Middlesex Wanderers Veterans AFC won 3-0 and take on Parkfield Youth Old Boys Veterans in the Final on Sunday 20 June at Rectory Park, kick off 11.00am:

Did we get to the bottom of why Brett Donnelly turned out for Middlesex Wanderers Veterans AFC in the Semi Final of the Middlesex FA Veterans Cup, what is his connection with the Club, obviously not suggesting he's a 'ringer'.

Do we happen to know whether Brett Donnelly played a 'cameo role' earlier today at Rectory Park for Middlesex Wanderers Veterans AFC in the Final of the Middlesex FA Veterans Cup against Parkfield Youth Old Boys Veterans.

Unfortunately Stotfold's pre-season friendly fixture at Haverhill Rovers this evening has had to be called off at short notice for Covid reasons. Brett Donnelly's men enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win at Gamlingay United on Saturday 3 July however met their match at Brett's old stomping ground Top Field last Tuesday, going down 4-1 to Hitchin Town (see match report):

A nice article on Brett Donnelly in the Herts Advertiser today ahead of the new SSML Division One campaign that gets under way tomorrow evening when Stotfold entertain new boys Letchworth Garden City Eagles. There certainly won't be a dull moment with Brett in control at the New Roker Park:

Kick-off 2021: Brett Donnelly aiming to fulfil Stotfold aims | Herts Advertiser

"The club and people here are lovely and everything is going in the right direction and hopefully we can put a team together that will take them where they want to go".
