An anorak from another Forum was at Hitchin Road last night:

Spartan South Midlands League - Premier Division
Baldock Town v Colney Heath 1-0 (ht 1-0)
Venue: Arlesey Town FC; kickoff 1945hrs
Entry: £3 concession, programme free online
Attendance: circa 60

Plenty of spaces in the car park, entry to the ground was through the bar. No paper programme available on the gate (had to find the programme on the club website).

Patchy visibility due to the fog and a patchy performance from league leaders Colney Heath. They started well but were soon struggling to stay on side against a resolute Baldock defence. They resorted more and more to the route one approach to little effect and at the death lost their keeper to a straight red card. Baldock grew in confidence as the game progressed and scored the crucial goal just before halftime. They didn't create many clear cut chances but they effectively stopped Colney Heath playing in all parts of the pitch.
