Our average home gate last season was 666 currently its 819  an increase of 23% almost a quarter and because imo the results have been better  Success grows crowds as does playing at a higher level

If the average currently is 819, last season was 783 and previous season was 666, I would have thought that was a good steady rise given what we used to get when we ground shared, and the fact that now we are beginning to pick up younger fans/newbies.We also have had to contend with the added drawback of Maidenhead going great guns in the division above, too.

Well, least it is an upward trend, I know we have someway to go but it's a relatively good start at Arbour Park, me thinks.

Personally I wouldn’t like to see the Club going down the route of a single wealthy benefactor owner...... it’s generally short-lived with somebody planning to make the Football League within five years and when it doesn’t happen quickly sacking managers on a regular basis & walking away when it doesn’t happen & leaving the club in a financial mess.

It would be much more rewarding to grow a sustainable community club by growing the attendances and focusing majorly on the other revenue generating streams.

The crowd at 5-4-0 unbeaten at home Billericay Town v Wealdstone last evening was 642.

That must qualify as a disappointing gate.

Whilst SLOUGH TOWN FC has every reason to feel that crowds at Arbour Park should be higher, I can only remind everyone to keep up the good work of promoting the club and encouraging people to come to a match. I often speak to spectators who I don't recognise and if it's their first match, I never hear anyone say anything other than how much they are enjoying their first Arbour Park match experience. So hats off to ALL OF YOU who make it so. People have a lot of choices and pressures these days ... I wonder how many different home spectators come to a match during the course of a season.

According to the 2018 census, the population of Slough Borough was recorded as 164,000 and the SL post code area as 404,000. Let us all keep up the good work of promoting the club and encouraging people to come to a match. I have no idea how many - but there are also a significant number of loyal supporters who live outside of the SL post code area.

It's hard work getting those attendances up these days. People don't just look at the local paper and think, "I must go along to Arbour Park and watch the local team". In the first home match of this season, Sam Togwell got sent off in the 86th. minute, probably deprieving Dorking Wanderers of the opening goal of the match before they ultimately achieved it on 90 + 5. Since that opening day defeat, REBELS have an unbeaten home league record of 8-4-0.

Home gates this season for the thirteen league matches to date have been 874, 776, 735, 744, 713, 807, 1,115 (Non League Day initiative on Saturday 12th. October), 630 (Welling United on Tuesday 29th. October), 731, 771, 739, 1,307 and 712.

Only one home league gate below 700 in the first five months of the season. It's taken a lot of effort from a lot of people to achieve that. I can only say to everyone, keep up the good work and higher minimum crowd levels will be achieved.

I saw not a stone unturned in the club's efforts to promote and sell tickets for the FA Cup 2nd. Round match against Gillingham on 2nd. December 2018. But despite a sell out 600 allocation to the visitors, the mammoth effort only sold 1,484 home tickets. That is how difficult building the home gates is and I can only encourage everybody to keep up the good work so that we see those home gates gradually increase from the enormous local resources that there are.

I thought I'd flag up that we are again trying to promote and increase the membership/contributions to our '500 club'.

Raising more money for the club has been high on the agenda in the last few weeks and as we all know is never an easy thing to achieve.

The 500 club has been running for some years now and the figure that it currently brings into the club is roughly £500 per month.

Despite the club on a regular basis promoting the 500 club the current income of around £500 (m) has hardly increased for some time now.

Maybe everyone on this forum contributes but if not I can't think of an easier way to help the club raise money.

So difficult to get the right person in who wants to put their money into the club for the right reasons.

If we owned the stadium I reckon they'd be knocking the door down by now.

I do not disagree with your second sentence RR but amongst the Premier League and Championship clubs in England and Wales, the % of the freehold of the club stadium owned by the local council is as follows :-

Brighton & Hove Albion 50%; Huddersfield Town 40%; Manchester City 100%; Newcastle United 100% and Swansea City 100%.

I don't believe in gambling and wasting money on such things. Each to their own but it's not for me.

It’s worth noting from those 500 Club numbers that there would appear to be about 220 people that have signed up.

In addition, I think I read somewhere recently that we have about 200 members in the Supporters Trust.

And presumably someone has details of all the adult season ticket holders.

It would be interesting to know whether it is the same 200 people who are season ticket holders, Supporters Trust members & 500 Club members or whether a combined list of the three comes to considerably more than 200.

It would probably be worthwhile determining this prior to the fans forum & e-mailing all these people inviting them along, rather than relying on them reading about it on Twitter, the club web-site or this forum.

Fair enough if you're anti gambling.

I suppose it's just another way of asking supporters to help our club raise money but with the added incentive of possibly winning some money.
