Well said Neil. On the subject of crowds were getting approx 1,000 for home games and 900 for midweek home games when last in the Conference (including away fans), so

we are not too far away. However, Maidenhead doing well in not helping us.

"and the general public in Slough and surrounding areas have proven time and again not to be interested in football in Slough"  not true

Just to be clear on this and nip It in the bud, we were asked would we like to go full time at some stage, and the answer was yes.... however as has been mentioned we are in no rush to do this, or leave the club.... and we are 100% not asking for Slough to go full time, as if we went up we would expect to stay part time...

What we are trying to get across (which is with the clubs blessing), is that for us to even try and push to get to the next level (which is where our next aim to get to) or even keep properly competing at this level we have to try and raise the awareness even more than ever in the local area, try and improve the crowds (which mark has started and doing a great job of) and making it known that the club is in a position that if someone wanted to come in and were the right fit for the club they would want to talk (or as mentioned more sponsorship)

By the way just off the back ofthe recent statement myself and Jon have been approached by someone we know who may be willing to get involved on a sponsorship side of things which is only a psotive thing.

Clubs are not cheap to run, and the club is just doing everything they can for us to keep trying to improve, and is just asking for everyone's help in trying to achieve this.

Yes I know that, Neil but what I was trying to convey by my posts on this subject is that fans [and managers/staff] need to appreciate the bigger picture.

WR. My quote 'and the general public and surrounding areas have proven time and again not to be interested in football in Slough' might not have been worded very well by me but there is an element of truth in it, otherwise our attendances would be a lot better[now and last 30 years].

We always get fans for bigger FA Cup games, coming out the woodwork so to speak but overall for a town the size of Slough,we're not exactly flowing at the brim with supporters !

I would guess Steve who did own the club has handed it over to these 4 to run.

What happens if a big bill comes in unexpectedly? Who is liable?

I obviously don’t know but I’d be surprised if the club wasn’t handed over debt free.

I get that Steve Easterbrook has handed over the club to the steering committee and that they have no debts yet.

Call me thick but what I don't get is who is liable, if bills aren't paid?

Thanks for info,WR and Glen. It just puzzled me, who would pick up the tab,if the club had an unexpected shortfall.

These would all be terrific questions for the up and coming fans forum at Arbour Park.

Just as a matter of interest, Matt, what was our average last season?

I spent some hours with the trust members in queensmere couple seasons ago on the publicity day and the first sentence from the public was I did not know there was a football club in the town. The council spent alot of money on the stadium and you would think they would want as many people to use and watch as much as the club. In march they will be sending out to all new council tax letters for the coming year. Could they add information about  all there sporting venues in the town at the same time. With the town so diverse this info could be put in a number of languages. On my advertising thread Council should be advertising on the boards I suggested all up and coming games Chalvey Sports as well. I know I should not have added this post putting my nose in it as I am not involved but also understand how hard it is for all parties involved.

That’s actually a very good idea if there was time and willingness from the council to do it (can’t see why not seeing they own the stadium). The club could put some type of free or heavily discounted ticket offer on all these council letters that every house would receive. Hopefully this could at least be looked into or question asked to the appropriate council person?
