Wealdstone v Slough

Crowd wise it’ll probably be similar to the attendance we got. You’d hope we’d take at least 200 hopefully nearer 300. I think we need at least a draw to avoid potentially slipping down the table. But I think they’ll play a lot better so we need to be on it and at our best to get something from the game.

Agree Glen.

It's going to be an intimidating atmosphere so we're going to have to be disciplined and as you say at our best to get something from the game.

Interesting to hear Brennan say that he thinks he got a couple of things wrong tactically against us so knows what to put right in this game.

With a big attendance and a 'hostile' atmosphere on the agenda this game should be quite lively ?

Most disappointing that the only Slough bus service that First Group are running on New Year's Day is the 7. So I can't take the 3 bus to Uxbridge and then the Metropolitan Line to Ruislip Manor.

If you get to AP there are still a few spaces left on the 'Rebels on Tour' coach.

What's easier Iver to AP and then a coach to Ruislip or a bus to Uxbridge and a train to Ruislip?

When the 3 bus is running , definitely the latter.

I will either go all the way on my scooter or to Hillingdon underground on my scooter and then Metropolitan Line to Ruislip Manor.

11 games in our league today  10 kicking off at 3pm  ours at 1pm

I would have thought with New Year revelling going on to the small hours that earlier KO will reduce the gate.

Have to admit being NYD and with all the shopping and family thing done really not sure why it's a 1pm ko.

Can't say the result wasn't deserved because Wealdstone were the better side for the majority of the game.

Not an ideal start with George Wells on the bench (failed fitness test?) and having to switch Josh Jackman to the left back position.

I think both the Wealdstone goals were pretty soft ones to concede and avoidable.

Having said that you have to give full credit to the team for showing the character to stick at it to the end to eventually get a goal back their efforts deserved which provided a nervy finish for oh so pleasant Wealdstone lot.

Looking forward now to a massive 3 points on Saturday against Eastbourne who had a terrific confidence boosting win today against Dorking.
