Its certainly getting tight at the top  7 wins and 5 draws in the first 12 positions

A bit disappointed today That was Hemels 7th league game without a win but it's an away point and we are still comfortably in the playoffs  We slip back to 3rd but the team displacing us have played 2 more  Perhaps we were saving ourselves for NYD at Wealdstone!

Frustrating not to win as we had the chances. But we could lost it had Jack been sent off early on. 4 points from 6 is a good return though and if we can get the same from the next 2 then you have to be happy with that. I guess us supporters need to realise we’re beyond expectations and no doubt the managers’ remit for the season.

Agree, we were very fortunate to keep Jack Turner on the pitch.

I thought we could have made the substitution with Manny Williams for the tired leggy Matt Lench a bit earlier than we actually did, as we wasn't creating a lot going forward by that time, despite trying to push 4 players forward on occasion[3 midfielders, and 1 actual forward]. Manny made a difference when he came on, by taking up a more central position, holding up the ball and distributing short sharp passes to players attacking in key areas for goal scoring opportunities. Our attacking tempo rose with his introduction and I thought we looked the team more likely to get the winner come the latter part of the game. While Dan Roberts did get a lot of joy late on pushing down the left wing, I thought you could argue that we wasted having two forwards on for the first time in the game, to put one on the wing. Well, that was how I saw it but then I'm always after 3 points from a game, not one.

As RebelMatters said above, Dan Roberts ran his socks off all game and for me was our best player, though I thought Wazza ran him close for that honour. Not a bad point earned, I suppose, taking into consideration that it has been two hard fought performances in 2 days.

As for Hemel, they have a number of good players in their team and for the first half an hour of the game, they looked like they would get the better of Slough but then seemed to fizzle out of ideas, and never really lived up to their potential to get one over on us. All in all, a draw was probably the right result, given each teams play.

Obviously the fresh legs of Manny made a difference with quite a few off the pace and looking 'leggy' not just Matt Lench who I still thought was still one of our brighter sparks just not with his usual excellence.

The proverbial game of two halfs.

Hemel were quicker out of the blocks and were the better/sharper side for most of the first half.

We came into the game in the last ten minutes of the half and apart from our goal which was from a good cross and well taken header from Dan Roberts we spurned two other good chances both placed wide of the target by Dan Roberts and Max Worsfold.

A different Rebels side came out for the second half, taking the game to Hemel and for the most part we were much the better side but didn't take our opportunities when they arose with the best chances coming from a shot from Dan Roberts that hit the post and one from Manny Williams that brought out a good save from their keeper.

Our best player for me was Warren Harris who gave his usual 100% effort and commitment.
