codpiece
Is there any possibility that this game could be postponed due to rain forecast for tomorrow and early saturday afternoon? I would assume after the recent rain that the pitch is quite heavy.

GlenSTFC
I’d be surprised if it’s on given they played on it Tuesday night and by all accounts it was heavy and it’s been raining ever since. Really hope it gets played as it’ll be nearly a month otherwise since I’ve seen a game!
Irishadrian
I wouldn't be concerned with a postponement Heavy pitches and bad weather are great levellers
Big J R
Just for your info, Surrey, not a million miles away, is currently suffering quite serious flooding with sections of motorway M23 and M25 closeda nd it's STILL raining ! I can't see many clubs playing on grass getting their games on this weekend.
SloughFlyer
Pitch inspection booked for 10am tomorrow morning (from both Slough and Hampton twitters)
GlenSTFC
Just looked at the forecast for Hampton and the rain is due to stop soon with a small chance of overnight rain plus more from 3pm onwards. At least if it’s postponed it’s a local one to rearrange.
Neil Baker
They are apparently quite hopeful that it will be on, and have managed to get a fair bit of work done on the pitch today, so fingers crossed.
GlenSTFC
Good to hear they’re being proactive, obviously it’s in their interests too as the difference in attendance for tomorrow and a rearrangement could be hundreds.
Irishadrian
10 am inspection with the opponents about an hour away? A lot can happen either way in 5 hours.
Rebellier
If it goes ahead, and we are 0-2 down with 20 to play, and the ref calls it off, will we have learned a valuable lesson from Havant not to antagonise the opposition!?
GlenSTFC
The 10am inspection may be down to the availability of the local official especially if they have to make a journey to their game. Plus the club would naturally want to know early so not to waste time preparing for a home game which you can imagine involves a lot. 6 minutes ago, Rebellier said: If it goes ahead, and we are 0-2 down with 20 to play, and the ref calls it off, will we have learned a valuable lesson from Havant not to antagonise the opposition!? Of course not we’re all human and will be just as annoyed as they were!
Jon Underwood
No rain due there until kick off time so a check at 10am will give a good indication. Both teams would rather know as early as possible so we can put on a training session if it’s not going to be on. Hoping that won’t be the case though! Irishadrian
The Hampton forum is advising that there will be no trains running into Hampton tomorrow due to SWR strike and no parking unless you are players, directors, officials or blue badge holders all others park in residential streets. Irishadrian
Well done Braintree whose 95th minute equalizer against H&W ensured we kept our second position in the league. Bath and Dorking both had away wins to stand just one point behind us but both have played 2 more games Weymouth lost at home to St Albans who move of the bottom
Reading Rebel
Some amazing games and results today. In the Braintree v Havant game it seems a lino got injured and 5 minutes of time was added on. Havant scored in the 89th minute to make it 3-2 with Braintree equalizing in the 95th minute with a 25 yard free kick and a hat-trick from Murrell-Williamson.
