v Havant & Waterlooville

Some comments on the Havant site that the FA have stipulated that this game will be played under Trophy rules i.e. that every one pays and the gate is split 3 ways.

Of course if true this has not gone down too well with Havant season ticket holders who think because it's a league game they should get in for nothing.

Have we heard anything about this?

I consider Maidstone United are a very good title punt at 28/1.

Note that they have only played 7 home matches against 11 away.

Their next 6 matches are Chippenham Town, Concord Rangers, Dorking Wanderers, Dulwich Hamlet and Tonbridge Angels at home and Tonbridge Angels away.

Then on 4th. January they have Havant & Waterlooville away.

It might be worth having a look at the table again that evening after they have played 13 matches home and away!

i got my arithmetic wrong by one home match! Maidstone will have played 13 home and away after Maidstone United v Bath City on 11th. January.

RR  Re your opening post on this thread Havant & Waterllooville have now decided to allow their season ticket holders free entry as they are required to since it's a league game Other people attending get the same deal Rebel supporters do

Did I read somewhere this rearranged game is based on FA competition rules with a 40/40/20 split of the attendance meaning we’ll actually make money from an away league game? If that’s true and based on a crowd of 1,000 we could earn a couple of thousand plus point(s)!

Seems the answer is yes as admission prices were discussed between both clubs.

My only gripe is that concessions pay the same as everyone else.

A more sensible and fairer pricing would have been £12 and £8.

Adrian, I stand to be corrected but, because of the rules regarding this game, letting the Havant season ticket holders in for free was done after discussion with us and with our agreement.

All bodies from the FA down to the clubs know that during the season there is always the likelyhood of games being a abandoned for one reason or another so don.t they all agree before the season starts on a standard admission policy that every club adheres to  in the case of  this happening. Or is it the clubs decision alone on what to charge which seems crazy as one abandoned game is no different to another abandoned game.

RR  H&W have thanked us online for our cooperation  (as if we would say no to making money from an away league game and getting in cheaper)

The main problem they faced which guided their wishes was their contractual obligation to their 800+ season ticket holders who were sold free entry to all league games

Hemel Hempstead v Weymouth called off due to a waterlogged pitch at around 3pm today.

Hemel were at home and completed their match on the same day ours was abandoned at Havant..... so it would be interesting to know what condition Havant’s pitch is currently in.

Raining in Havant at present, and expected to rain between 9am & 2pm tomorrow.
