With a similar squad to last season with a few additions I would say most supporters expectations were to be in the play offs. 

Well, that's because it is only our second season in this division and I didn't expect such a respectable showing from the players that we have had [no disrespect meant to our players]. I thought losing Billy Clifford, who had been so instrumental to our form towards the back end of last season would also be hard to get over so easily this season but credit to the form of Scott Davies, Matt Lench and Lee Togwell,that we haven't actually missed him, at all really. 

I also do not have quite as much faith in every player that's in our squad, as the managers do. I think that is only a personal taste point of view thing from my angle, rather than me not seeing the merits of players we do have. There's always players that one thinks could enhance a squad or compete for a position or replace a certain player, that goes with all football rationale' everywhere but I can honestly say I didn't expect Slough to be sitting 3rd in the table at this point, and I don't believe even Bakes and Unders would have thought this, before a ball had been kicked with their selected squad. 

Reading Rebel, you mentioned a play off place at the start of pre-season and so far the Slough team hasn't let you down. My aim is for something more sustainable ie to build a team over a period of a few years to be ready for the National league to stay up in the division,not be a one hit wonder and a flash in the pan, so our views are different on this, and are likely to remain so. As high as we can is my rhetoric this season,if it's a play off - great but no bother to me, if we come up short.

If it was a dream team selection, I would have Chris Whelpdale, Manny Adebowale and Abdulai Baggie for the Slough squad, and as a punt possibly Ruaridh Donaldson, though I wouldn't play him in central midfield .

I read the attendance as 779 (can’t recall where I saw that) which is why your calculation didn’t add up.

Yes some good comments from Braintree supporters that they would give their right arm for a facility like AP.
