GlenSTFC
Glad old muff didn’t win as they would have gone above us. That’s one long midweek journey though!

Reading Rebel
Only 606 at Billericay against a top 4 side.
GlenSTFC
You know how cold it was tonight??!! I’d say that was decent especially as Weymouth wouldn’t have brought any. I bet we wouldn’t have got that had we played tonight.

Against Weymouth or a lot of the other teams I think we would have beaten it quite comfortably.
REBEL MATTERS
I know we lose fans based on cold midweek weather, but I think we wouldn't go as low as 606 (for a league game).
GlenSTFC
We had 630 home to Welling this season. Last season we had a few low crowds, 416 (Truro City), 463 (Gloucester City) plus another 3 that were 520, 581 and 605.
Stuntman Mark
I'm in agreement with Glen here. Midweek crowds are disappointing for us no doubt and the Welling crowd was short of what we were after considering we let kids in free and there wasn't much else on football-wise that evening. This year we average 706 midweek, last year it was 513 with some long journeys for all of the away sides. I'm very interested in any ideas for improving this, beyond what we are already doing! GlenSTFC
Cheerleaders? Anything that gets kids into the ground (as they are our future after all...). Ok not health conscious but can the club do entry/food deals? Get Mark Wahlberg in the ground!!!

GlenSTFC
Could the club set up a dedicated Kids or Family zone? Ideal area is behind the small seated stand. Have a non playing player visit to chat/mingle. Brand the area with club colours, badge, images etc... offer free squash/sweets, have easy to set up games, quizzes, even face painting? Lots of other ideas to help make families feel welcome and keep the kids entertained.
A Rebel and a Saint
If you can find volunteers to set up, run and take it down at every game then go ahead.
GlenSTFC
Was fully expecting that response... Mark asked for ideas and that’s what we’re giving. Maybe the club may have to spend money to increase crowds.

GlenSTFC
You’ve obviously new to this concept...
Curtis
I have three children & eight grandchildren, so I think I know what a crèche is, but if you need an official definition:- Crèche (definition) - a place where young children are cared for while their parents do something else Presumably the parents will still want to watch some football? Reading Rebel
The size of midweek crowds are probably dependent on two things, weather and opposition. If we were playing a big side i.e. Weymouth, Wealdstone etc or a local derby the attendance IMO would a be a lot higher than playing teams like Truro and Gloucester on a cold night. GlenSTFC
I still think if we played Weymouth on Tuesday we too would got around the low 600’s.
Reading Rebel
Against Weymouth it would be in the 700's at least.
