Ollie Bayliss is currently tight lipped about what and who will be featured on his amazing BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon at 2.00pm however there are no prizes for guessing that Scott Reynolds will be on and Buckingham Athletic will walk away with the 'Team Of The Week' feature following their 9-1 demolition of Hillingdon Borough on Tuesday and a hard fought 3-2 win over Stotfold yesterday when they could have easily slipped up. It shows how far the Club have come of late under Scott as previous sides would have no doubt lost yesterday, who would have ever imagined the Stratford Fields Club sitting proudly on top of the Division One table after seven matches with the likes of St Panteleimon and New Salamis nowhere to be seen.

Bulletin folks, I have it on good authority that Ollie Bayliss will discuss the recent FA Cup and FA Trophy ties on the show later and Aylesbury United, AFC Dunstable, Crawley Green, Bishop’s Stortford, Welwyn Garden City and Shefford Town & Campton will all be featured. There's surprisingly no mention of Buckingham Athletic so I have a feeling that they may have been over looked for 'Team Of The Week', perhaps Shefford Town & Campton will get some deserved recognition for their exploits lately and winning 3-1 at Winslow United on Tuesday and 6-0 at London Tigers yesterday, Kane Dougherty has done an amazing job since his arrival at the Shefford Sports Club:

So who listened to it then, obviously I'm referring to Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show on Sunday which is by far the highlight of the week at present with all the doom and gloom, and, as usual Ollie didn't disappoint. First up was a feature on his beloved Aylesbury United whereby a number of die hard fans walked from their old iconic Buckingham Road ground to The Meadow, where they currently share with Chesham United, to raise awareness of the Club's plight, reading between the lines it did sound as if they have their eye on Haywood Way in order to return to Aylesbury. There was an interview with AFC Dunstable supremo Steve Heath following their FA Trophy win against Corby Town and a brief report on Harpenden Town's 3-1 win over beleaguered Tring Athletic, the FA Cup statistician was on again who always puts Karen to shame with his knowledge. It was great to hear the dulcet tones of Craig Bicknell who was live on air with Crawley Green's Media Manager who, for some reason, took part in 'Guess the Gate' and failed miserably, he should concentrate on promoting the Club and nothing more. They chatted about Crawley Green being forced to play behind closed doors and Craig thinks that Leighton Town will win the SSML Premier Division although Connor Calcutt is going to have to pull his socks up first for that to happen. Bishop's Stortford Manager Steve Smith was on ahead of the Club's FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round tie with St Albans City on Monday which will be shown live on tv, then Karen would have been all ears when Welwyn Garden City boss Nick Ironton was interviewed. Lastly, and the highlight of the show, was a feature on Shefford Town & Campton who won team of the week following away wins at Winslow United and London Tigers and their new boss Kane Dougherty was interviewed, Kane was with Stotfold, Langford, Baldock Town and Codicote before joining the Club last season as a player and the rest is history, Kane seems to be cut out for Management but was quick to praise his excellent back room team including former Codicote player and coach James Taylor (not the singer). I see that Ollie Bayliss made the long trip to Bloomfield Road today to commentate for local radio on the Blackpool v Milton Keynes Dons League One fixture which Blackpool won 1-0, I'm sure he will touch on it briefly on tomorrow's eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show. Obviously there is no word as yet on what and who will be featured but watch this space, unfortunately Hemel Hemstesd Town went down 1-0 to Hampton & Richmond Borough in the FA Cup at Vauxhall Road this afternoon otherwise no doubt Lee Bircham would have been on the show:

Not long to wait now until the BBC Three Counties Non League Show and I have it on good authority that Ollie Bayliss will discuss yesterday's FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round ties involving our local sides and the National League funding debacle with no other than controversial Boreham Wood Chairman Danny Hunter which should be a good listen. Marlow, St Albans City and Dunstable Town will be featured as well as Pitstone & Ivinghoe which should be really interesting with their recently granted planning permission for floodlights and performances of late, I wonder if they will be 'Team Of The Week' following their excellent 1-0 win at Codicote yesterday. Ollie Bayliss is having a busy week as he was at The Meadow this evening (Wednesday) to watch his beloved Aylesbury United take on Bedford Town in a Southern League Division One Central fixture, no doubt that will also feature on Sunday's Non League Show. I wonder if Ollie will pick up on the fact that Bedford Town are doing so much better now since Mark Ducket left last month after only eight months with the Club as Manager and shortly after his right hand man Martin Standen departed. There were clearly underlying problems at The Eyrie however, as was the case at Eynesbury Rovers, Mark just upped sticks and walked away into the night without any thought or consideration whatsoever for his Chairman who employed him and who put his faith, as well as his reputation, on the line for him:

Bulletin folks, from what I am led to believe Ollie Bayliss will be discussing the implications of the new lockdown rules on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show at 2.00pm and what they will mean for Non League Football. In addition he will feature Potters Bar Town, Hemel Hempstead Town, Bishop's Stortford, Stotfold and presumably Holmer Green and Aylesbury United where he attended matches at Watchet Lane and The Meadow on Tuesday and Wednesday. Who listened to last Sunday's show out of interest which kicked off with a piece on Boreham Wood however it wasn't their controversial Chairman Danny Hunter for a refreshing change who always hogs the limelight, after that was the bit in the show where Karen always switches off and the FA Cup statistician who was at the Banbury United v Bury Town Fourth Qualifying Round tie the day before. Marlow FC supremo Mark Bartley was on and took park in the 'Guess The Gate' feature getting six out of eight correct, I wonder who it will be later on, possibly Stotfold boss Luke Gregson as the New Roker Park Club are being featured on the show which will be interesting. St Albans City Chairman Lawrence Levy was on talking about the controversial National League funding and then came a great feature on Pitstone & Ivinghoe with their Chairman Bob Beasley who, by the way, is not the former jockey who won two Cheltenham Gold Cups. Mr Beasley was over the moon about progress at the Club and the way things are currently going particularly where the recent approval, by the Parish Council, of floodlighting is concerned. Harpenden Town Assistant boss Steve O'Reilly was on briefly discussing last Saturday's amazing 5-4 home defeat to Dunstable Town, he was clearly very unhappy with the team stating the obvious that 'you do not concede five goals at home'. It was the first League win of the season for Dunstable Town however it has been noticeable that they have been coming good of late and Harpenden Town were unfortunately just in the wrong place at the wrong time, on the strength of the result at Rothamsted Park the Club lifted the 'Team Of The Week' award on the show and their hard working boss Gareth Jackson gave a very interesting interview. It was amusing when Ollie asked Gareth whether the Club had now found their level at Step Five following two recent Southern League relegations, he recoiled in absolute horror at the suggestion and wasn't having any of that, he also complimented his excellent backroom team led by Ryan Sturges, the facility at Creasey Park and the loyal fanbase:

I see that Ollie Bayliss made the trip to Rotherham this evening to commentate for BBC Three Counties Radio on the Rotherham United v Luton Town Championship fixture which Luton won 1-0, it was another tick for Ollie:

Ollie Bayliss is tight lipped at present about who and what will be featured on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show at 2.00pm today however it doesn't take much working out with Boreham Wood, Bishop's Stortford and Stevenage all in FA Cup First Round action yesterday, no doubt controversial Boreham Wood Chairman Danny Hunter will be on following his Club's shock win over Southend on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Meadow Park. So who listened to last Sunday's show out of interest which got under way with a lengthy piece on the forthcoming lockdown and Essex Senior League Secretary Michelle Dorling really came across well, you could feel her passion for the beautiful game at our level. There was a feature on an interesting initiative called 'Football Shirts For Charity' and 'Football Shirt Friday' on 20 November, see the website below. Lee Bircham was on following Hemel Hempstead Town's 4-3 win at Braintree Town and took part in the 'Guess The Gate' feature getting 6 out of 8 correct, I can't believe Lee went higher than 433 for Chesham United v Whyteleafe in an FA Trophy tie, it was only 315. Bishop's Stortford and Potters Bar Town were both featured following their respective FA Cup and FA Trophy ties the day before, Potters Bar Town supremo Lee O'Leary was clearly not happy with his side's performance at Leatherhead, losing 3-1. Lastly, and the highlight of the show, was a feature on Stotfold with their Chairman Phil Pateman who occasionally posts on here, congratulations to them for winning 'Team Of The Week' following the 7-0 win over London Tigers, Karen was referred to, albeit not by name, when Phil expressed his displeasure at only being given one League game during November although that is obviously irrelevant now. He praised the New Roker Park and said the Club were very disappointed not to have been promoted last season and were hoping for a ppg outcome to end the season rather than the unpopular null and void decision:

Bulletin folks, from what I am led to believe Ollie Bayliss will feature Boreham Wood, Bishop’s Stortford, Marlow, Hemel Hempstead Town, Colney Heath and feature the Herts Senior County League on his eagerly awaited BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show in about half an hours time, it's unlikely a SSML Club will win Team Of The Week again isn't it but then you never know after Colney Heath's superb 2-1 win at Biggleswade United last Tuesday evening and they are the only remaining unbeaten side in the Premier Division. At Second Meadow Ryan Thompson's men established a two goal lead after just half an hour and also missed penalty as well as having a perfectly good looking goal ruled out for offside before Biggleswade United halved the deficit shortly before the interval, it was surprising there were no further goals during the second period however Colney Heath's rearguard took everything that was thrown at them on the chin and the attack also had a number of good opportunities to extend their lead so they are clearly the same quality side as they were last term:

As always at this time on a Sunday morning Ollie Bayliss is very tight lipped about who and what will be featured on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show at 2.00pm and not giving anything away, all will be revealed later. No doubt Boreham Wood and Hemel Hempstead Town will be mentioned following their National League games yesterday, Lee Bircham won't be best pleased with his side's disappointing 2-1 home defeat to lowly Welling United.

Bulletin folks, from what I understand Ollie Bayliss will be talking to Sir Mike Penning MP, on his BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show at 2.00pm, who is calling on the Government for the return of National League fans,  Ollie will also bring reaction to FA Chairman Greg Clarke's recent resignation which will be interesting and Hemel Hempstead Town, St Albans City, Biggleswade Town, Aylesbury Vale Dynamos and Berkhamsted Sunday League Premier Division side Adey Tudors FC will all be featured. Meanwhile who listened to last Sunday's show out of interest which kicked off, no pun intended, with a feature on Boreham Wood and Bishop's Stortford's exploits in the FA Cup First Round the previous day and their respective supremo's Luke Garrard and Steve Smith were both interviewed, it can't be easy being a Manager under controversial Chairman Danny Hunter. There was an interesting feature on the Herts Senior County League with their excellent Secretary Scott Patmore who really knows what he is talking about, Scott can't see the lockdown being lifted by 2 December and feels that it could possibly drag on till the New Year, there was a mention of Norman Appleby, who is Karen's equivalent, and what a great job he is doing juggling fixtures in the four divisions as well as internal cups. Knowledgable Marlow Manager Mark Bartley was on following Marlow's 2-1 home win over Berkhamsted in the FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round and then came the bit in the show where Karen always switches off with the FA Cup statistician who you could tell was really put out being interviewed by Ollie whilst there were First Round ties taking place and in the middle of a penalty shoot out between Eastleigh and Milton Keynes Dons, Ollie's timing wasn't great. There was a report from Harpenden Town's 1-0 win over Leighton Town at Rothamsted Park, despite playing the whole second half with ten men, and an interview with their Captain Ryan Plowright. Lastly there was a feature on Colney Heath and their straight talking boss Ryan Thompson was interviewed, Ryan told it exactly how it was which made refreshing listening and he is keen for a re-start on Saturday 5 December with possibly all five subsitutes allowed to be used, at least for the first month following the restart, hopefully that will be implemented. Ryan did have a strong sense of déjà vu following last season's disappointment not to be promoted but if the same thing does happen again then ppg is surely a must unlike last season's unpopular and ridiculous 'null and void' decision:

As if you would but don't forget Ollie Bayliss's BBC Three Counties Radio Non League Show this afternoon at 2.00pm, Ollie is currently tight lipped as to what will be on the show but no doubt Boreham Wood, Hemel Hempstead Town and St Albans City will be featured following their National League games yesterday, all three were at home but failed to win. Lee Bircham won't be happy following Hemel Hempstead Town's disappointing 1-1 draw with lowly Dulwich Hamlet who are the only team in the division yet to win and had just three points prior to yesterday's visit to Vauxhall Road, that follows last week's home defeat to struggling Welling United although there was a good midweek 3-0 win at Hampton & Richmond Borough on Tuesday.

I wonder if Joe Sweeney will be on, he is always good value and you can tell that he wears his heart on his sleeve. Who listened to last week's show, there was no mention of the SSML at all however it was still a really good listen with Sir Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead, giving an insight into the recent debate in Parliament on the Petition to allow fans back into stadiums, Mr Penning, who is Club President at Vauxhall Road, said no conclusions came out of the debate which is hardly surprising. St Albans City supremo Ian Allinson was on and there was a nice feature on Berkhamsted Sunday League Premier Division outfit Adey Tudors FC who do a lot of good work in the Local Community, former SSML Club Royston Town were also featured. There was reaction to FA Chairman Greg Clarke resigning recently and the concensus was that Mr Clarke had to go following his comments at the  Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) Select Committee although Kevin Brennan MP, who was asking the questions, purposely laid a trap for him and he walked straight into it. The previous days National League results were covered and Lee Bircham was on the show trying to explain away Hemel Hempstead Town's very disappointing home defeat to lowly Welling United. Lastly Biggleswade Town's long serving supremo Chis Nunn was on and talked a good game, it's incredible to think how far the Club have come since the days they plied their trade at Fairfield not so very long ago.
